Are you one of those people that awkwardly talks to the young cashiers with a smirky grin, and it comes off as a bit awkward and strange?

Hopefully you're like me, and you stare without verbal communication.

I definately need to sit down and get a menu made for me

I want to try this liquid fast but not sure I can do it lol, I have lots of juice, ocean spray in particular, and I'm sure I got like broth? But I'm having trouble figuring out what other clear liquids, and the juice isn't clear so hmm it doesn't count?
I need to get a menu going for me too. I don't mind cooking, I just hate planning.

You don't have to like broth. I'm not wild about it and don't really drink much. Clear liquid pretty much means anything water based or that you can see through -- even though it's colored. No milk products. So, juice, coffee, tea, pop, popsicles, jello, broth, club soda. I also do it as no to very low carb/calorie. I don't drink juice since it's loaded with both. Sugar Free Popsicles (2 carbs, 15 cal.) or Jello (0 carbs, 0 cal), diet pop. No sugar. I like club soda, I'm drinking some of that now.

You can also make up some stuff -- those sugar free syrups come in a lot of flavors, mix it into club soda or 7Up.

Ok, I'm going to throw this out there because I think everyone should be informed. I am not a proponent either way and I don't care what you do.

The point is, it is YOUR child and up to you to make the decision. The school system cannot make you vaccinate your child. There are exemptions in every state. You can choose to not vaccinate at all, to pick and choose which vaccines you want administered, and to do so in your own time frame.

Again, I do not want to start a vaccination debate -- that isn't my point. My point is, it just irritates me to see the schools systems behaving as if they have the right to tell you what to do with YOUR child. And I hate it even more that people think they have to take it.

Dreeme, I'm so sorry you and your little one had to deal with that yesterday.

Oh yeah, and another thing. You don't have to tell them a damn thing about your kid missed school either. "Well, Mrs. Parent, why wasn't your kid here yesterday"? "My child was home with my permission."

Dang it, how did that get out?Soap Box I try so hard to keep it put away.

I do enjoy talking to all of my cashiers... I do not sit there and smile and make eyes at them... most of my cashiers take me as being very friendly and will look for me and wave me over in their lane... I tend to enjoy talking to almost anyone..

That's the brand I have, and I Heart it! It's over 4 years old, always used cheap ink, still prints great!
So, do you order the really cheap 14 for $19 from ebay? I'm getting ready to order, it would be nice to know someone else uses it.

You can type the code into your browser and print out the first page with the barcode. They can scan that. I've never had a problem with it. I don't have mobile internet either.
Does it comes as a text message or how do these work. I rarely use a cell phone, so I went to Trafone. I can receive a text and I supposed it could be worth 30 seconds of talk time, as long as I only have to do it once.

Other than that... what is everyone up to today? I am trying to catch up on laundry... have way too much to do...
I already did the mile walk with the dogs. Second or third load of laundry is in. Need to put that away. I usually do a couple loads per day but I haven't done any for a few days.

I've cleaned the sink/vanity. Need to do the tub and toilet. Gotta vacuum living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Hmmm, I need to go outside and plant a few plants that I have had sitting there forever.

I don't have a touch screen..but I do have a button I push..which I reckon might be more upscale then a knob shake head
I am so silly. Our machine is a GE and it's junk. Just 4 years old and it's kicking the bucket already?!
I reckon $250.00 is still cheaper then buying a new one, especially since we can't afford a new one..well not until I sell them BTFE LMAO

I usually do, it depends. I test them out, I make a small comment, but if they give me that blank stare and say "huh?", I just leave them be.

For the full-time working folk with desks, you can always try Campbells Soup At Hand, and maybe some fat-free crackers or some fruit. Several of the Soup-At-Hand are either fat-free or very low fat. They don't need a refrigerator, and only take 1 min to heat up, which for me, is important for work. We only have 2 microwaves at work, and when everyone takes lunch around the same time, if you have a lean cuisine or something that takes 5-6 mins, that's a long time when you have a short lunch break. I'm not a soup person, but I did these for awhile before. It wasn't bad, and helped lose weight.

I ordered my ink last time from Amazon, I got 10 (4 black, 2 of each) for around $12, but I have ordered from Ebay before too.

TQ Mobile does come as a text message. It will have a link in the text message that you can type in to your browser.

If it just doesn't spin, have you tried the little switch that tells it that the lid is closed? Ours broke after a year of getting our washer, so we pulled the sucker off the machine, and used vise grips or sometimes duct tape to just keep it in the "on position". It hangs off the side of our machine, still attached by a wire. It's been that way for 8 years now. Every once in a while it comes loose, and machine doesn't work, but I just tape it for if I can find vise grips (tools disappear around here all the time, stupid DH!) and fix it.

Hmmm... speaking of which we should be having lots of "holiday" cashiers @ Target... me likes!! I like them young and cute Wink

I ordered bunches of Kohls $10 off $20 that is actually valid in NY... the guy offered me 20 free if I ordered 10 sets of 10... so I did... now I have to figure out where the 10 closest Kohls are... I am sure I can find them LMAO...
I still need to buy bunches of jeans for the kids...so I am thinking this would be a purrrrrrfect deal!!

Other than that... what is everyone up to today? I am trying to catch up on laundry... have way too much to do...
OMG! I just went on fleabay to price the Kohls coupons...are they always that expensive?? OMG
I think I need someone to fill me in on Kohls shopping... Please
Anyone know if these coupons will work in states that are not listed on the coupon??
Coupon states that they are valid only in AZ,CA,ID,NM,NV,TX,UT so will they not go through when scanned in another state? Or will it be denied only if the cashier knows how to read??

Anybody remember the Scarsdale Diet [momswhothink.com]? One of the options on it for lunch was all the sliced fruit you want with 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. Can you say FRUIT SALAD!!!! I love that.

There's a very, very good chance that she's right. Neither one of my washers have that switch anymore. They were yanked and crimped. Try it before your service call. You might save yourself some money.

Chili

My "secret" Ingredient is using Spicy V8 instead of Tomato Juice

Can of Dark Red Kidney Beans
Can of Chili Style Beans
1 Pound of Ground (Beef & Turkey Mixed 50/50)
Can of Diced Tomatoes
1 Small Diced & Sauteed Onions
1 Diced & Sauteed Bell Pepper (Sometimes use 1/2 red 1/2 green)
1 Can of Re-fried Beans (to thicken it up)
Enough V8 Juice to get to desired consistency
1 Tablespoon Beef Bouillon Crystals or Beef Soup Base
Chili Powder to Taste (For me I just shake liberally over chili until completely covered in powder then stir in - We like it HOT)

If I'm making a large enough pot I will up the meat and also add a can of black beans.

Turkey Chili
Pretty much same ingredients as above
Substituting Shredded Turkey or Chicken for the meat and I don't add the beef bullion
Then add:
1/2 cup of Sour Cream
1/2 cup of Cream Cheese
1 can of corn
