GRR. so... my "newer-than-the-baby" nursing bra has an underwire which is now poking out the side, AND I've outgrown it. razzle dazzle Mad I think I'm going to have to plunk down some $$ for a better one. Sadwalk

My sister showed me a GREAT tip for when you need to get a toddler INTO the cart
Thanks for the tip! My toddler looks all small and skinny - but when you lift her you'd swear she's wearing leaded underwear.

Hmm... I'm thinking of getting some of those Kohl's q's for my oldest DD. She has lost some weight and toned up, and she's been needing some more clothes. I may have to do some recon and see if there's anything she'd wear or like at Kohl's. Q's + cash may be a good bday gift.

I can't believe my toddler's birthday is coming up - Sept. 29th, and then my oldest is Oct. 1st. What on earth happened??!! My toddler says she wants a purple clown cake and pizza for her birthday. I don't think I've ever made a clown cake! This will be fun!

Teri - I so want that artichoke pizza recipe. Pretty please!!!!!! I heart artichokes, but have no clue how to prep them.

Rach is right! I absolutely LOVE my reader!!! I read multiple books a week, and I haven't paid for a book in MONTHS! That is a lot of $$$ I have saved! Also, I love that you can have MANY books with you all in this one devise. It was a Godsend on my last vacation!
Funny enough, my hubby tried to get me the nook last Xmas. He surprised me and took me to the store, but I talked him out of it. I said I wasn't sure if I would like it. I would miss the feel of the books, ect. Not so much in truth when I actually got it and used it. Now I couldn't imagine life without it!

I think I've missed all the Kohls talk- are the Qs people are buying the same ones that you get when you sign up for their emails? But just quicker to order them?

Last time I had a Kohls Q, there were a lot of $5ish things I had my eye on. Hmmm...

I don't have a recipe because I haven't made it yet laugh out loud Not using fresh artichokes though, I'll use a jar of artichoke hearts. I'm thinking of doing this:

pizza sauce

3/4 cup mayo
1/4 cup sour cream (or maybe cream cheese)
1/2 to 1 clove garlic pressed
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

This would be the sauce, on top of that I'll add the chicken I've put aside from tonight, a jar of artichoke hearts chopped and drained, and red onions. And cheese. maybe Mozz or even goat cheese.

It may be good too with just some olive oil, garlic and parm (for a fat friendlier sauce)

Might be good with fresh tomatoes on it too. I'll probably just stick with chicken, artichokes and onions though.

I've not done one before so I don't know exactly how I want to do it. I love hot artichoke dip so I'm thinking if I use the basics of that for the sauce and just add the chicken, artichokes, onions and cheese it will be ok. What do you think? Can you think of another way that it may be better?

hug I would totally dig not having to get books from the library. Buying them on Kindle is almost stupid really b/c I could pay $2 more and have an actual book (shipped) which I could then re-sell.

I'm thinking that since you are experimenting you should keep it as simple as possible. You can change things from there...

I agree. I think the mayo may make it too heavy. To stay with the theme of healthy eating I think I'll just use olive oil and garlic, sprinkle a little parm then top with chicken, artichokes, red peppers and a few onions. Love the idea of a bit of jack cheese. Think I'll make a whole wheat crust for it too.

well, laundry is done, kitchen is clean, weekend is over and it's up at 5:30 so I'm off to bed Girly

I do a artichoke spinach dip:
mayo (substitue light) I used 1/2 cup
1\4 shredded Mozzarella (this has a light alternative I think?)
1 can Artichoke hearts (not marinated)
1 box frozen spinach (thawed and drained)
I used 1 tbsp parmesan cheese (dry)
a little pepper and no salt

Do you have any recommendations for where to get a good deal on Frontline (whatever kind the vet gives out for $20 a pop)? I never thought I'd have to look for dog deals Sadwalk
I buy mine on the 'Bay. You might want to look into a kit, depending on the weight of your dogs. Some sellers have kits of the highest weight tubes and vials to put it in, which you then divide into doses depending on the dog. Does that make sense? I buy 2 tubes of extra large dog Frontline, for use on my cats (same formula, just higher dosage for dog) This way, since cats get .5 mL, 2 tubes will give me 16 monthly doses for about $30. I use seller davidh3090. Much cheaper this way!

Can someone do me a favor and look at the old retired T deal threads and see if there are any wikis? It looks like they've all been deleted Annoyed

ETA: Newest retirements have no wiki, older ones do. I think.
the wikis don't archive ever since the sd update. the OP also gets screwed up. it seems very random. it's not the last person to post so i don't know how it just picks somebody to be the OP of the archived thread. also, the last post is not a link to the next thread. and the first post doesn't always have all the links to the previously archived threads to keep going back.

i've had to go back into the archived thread a few times and it's very, very difficult to find the archived thread you want. and there are so many since the thread retires every 2000+ posts. i've resorted to using my reps as a link back to the archived threads.

if you could, would be great if you could get the admins to go into all the archived threads since you became OP of the deal thread and make sure you ARE the OP. then it should make it easy to find all the archived threads by searching thru your authored threads.

they could also put in all the links to the archived threads in the first post that are missing.

i have to say the latest sd update was as unsuccessful as target's. i think they used the same company.

I have finishing reading all those posts I was over 30 pages behind yesterday. I was so naughty at work yesterday. I was reading posts here and there trying so hard to catch up. I believe I finished five pages just at work. Skipped gym time last night just to catch up. You see, I have a funny rule I have to READ all of TCC before I post. So that way I can at least figured out some of the stuff that is going on.
i have the same rule. in deals it's almost a competition to answer somebody's question first. when i'm catching up in a thread i usually find somebody has already answered the question. sometimes it's been answered multiple times. better if i just catch up all the way b4 posting. but then it gets so late or i need to be productive in real life, i end up not replying to posts at all.

I havent read this thread since yesterday, I am sure I need a recap..

And what do those VS do or not do to look the way they do...They don't have an ounce of fat on them..Are they airbrushed in the catalogs...
this thread has been moving faster than deals!

those models look that way from a combination of good genes, usually some sort of appetite suppressant like smoking, willpower and technology like airbrushing.

my SIL used to be a runway model in milan for about 10 yrs. she's naturally tall and very skinny. still smokes, usually after dinner. and has amazing willpower about eating. we were at a bbq 2 yrs ago and we were eating costco chicken sausage and she said how good it tasted. i said yeah, but it's extremely fatty/ greasy. she immediately stopped eating it as if it was something nasty. i don't have that kind of willpower. i finished the whole thing.

I gave in..... I admit it.... I ACTUALLY got on the scale (not as bad as I thought it would be, but still within 8 lbs of the highest I've ever been) and walked for 25 minutes today (where's the sweating, fanning smiley?) I have more to lose than most (if not all) of you or two or three of you combined weigh.

May have to do with 3 things.
1- guy that I've always admired Girly from the other building came to see me when I emailed him a travel claim question (he travels, I normally don't). We used to go to lunch or dinner occasionally, but it always seemed that I was the one asking, and I want him to ask once in awhile
2- You ladies are all supporting each other with posts
3- the worship service I watched this morning (which happens to be the church that the guy in #1 attends) had a sermon (was given last week) about marriage, and how you need to love yourself before anyone else can love you. I hate myself right now.

I don't guarantee anything. I'm tired of being tired, kwim?
we are all here for you. ultimately we all want the same thing and it's easier and a lot more fun to do it together, to encourage each other and cheer each other on. we all want each other to be happy.

Silly me didn't have the coupon policy with me but I will tomorrow.
you should be able to print it from the computers by customer service. you can definitely pull it up on the screen.
