New Team Members all over the place. Target must clear house and rehire in the fall.
They do to a point. It's a good time to get rid of or cut the hours of people who have been there for awhile (i.e. make more per hour) and hire new, cheap labor. It's also the start of "seasonal" hires, so you will see new TMs all over the place.

Quote from gatorcater :
probably just the seasonal help. i wouldn't put it past them to cut back on the regular reds' hours to pay the holiday help less. One of my jedi who says she is a Level 2 (LTL7 does that make sense?) was offered a retirement package that paid her for 1 month She of course didn't accept it, but I guess everyone is trying to save a buck.
I never heard of a Level 2 cashier, but she may be referring to her pay level. Everyone is based on a pay level. Cashiers and cart attendants are level 1 (some may be 2), planograms and pricing are usually around level 4, flow is level 5. If you move from one job to another, i.e. Flow to Pricing, you get a downgrade in pay (usually $.25 per. level) If you went the other way, you would get an increase.

It may be furniture, but it's not Home or Re Essentials brand. Wink

well, week 1 was kind of a bust for me-

but last wk was unusual.

am trying to be more mindful about what i eat at home. when i cook pasta i like to do a one pot deal kind of thing w/ lots of veggies but monday also did one third salad zone on the plate too. i think the dole classic romaine has a funky taste to it so not buying it again.

went for a walk last nite and also this morn w/ bff. she wants to go again tomorrow morn.

ugh! forgot about that! change in diet is messing w/ my brain. i'm also not that good at targeting, hence the recaps :teehee!

ok, doing better today. walked at 2.5 yr old pace and had to piggyback him the last half block or so.

one can grass jelly drink for breakfast during walk. probably full of sugar but is a cool food to balance all the junk i ate last wk. one cup water and large cup green tea after walk.

2 eggs and one slice cheese on multigrain bread that doesn't have too many chemicals in it and half a large apple for lunch. one cup oj i haven't actually drunk yet.

dinner will be boneless skinless thighs chunked and mixed w/ salsa and topped w/ a little sharp cheddar cheese and baked w/ rice and asparagus. i tried w/ bone in and too difficult to eat w/ all the salsa and cheese sliding off.

there is a mongoose bike available nearby. off to see if dh is interested.

Is anyone else a HGTV fanatic? I have been watching all day when I should be writing a paper.. Buying a house has peeked my interest in all these shows.. I realized the house I just bought needs major upgrades... Its hard to have high end taste when you are broke. LMAO

My mom is going to help me pay to redo my kitchen to a more high end look.. new cabinets and countertops.. We decided not to paint them, but to just spend the money to redo them.. The countertops are new formica (ugh) , but the cabinets are the originals which are a white. There are not that many cabinets, so it won't be that expensive to find some stock cabinets.. Its alot cheaper than custom.. She has has friend who is a cabinet maker.

I really like the idea of having the bathroom sink that looks like a big bowl! Thats another project I want to undertake...

We redid a whole house years ago. Loved it. We bought cabinets from Home Depot, put them together ourselves and installed them. You can do it and they look great! We have a vessel sink as well - they aren't that expensive and honestly pretty easy to install. Have fun!

I was just looking at the countertops at Home Depot the other day (the pre-fab formica ones you can take home with you), and they now have newer ones with a nice, fancier edge, instead of the just quarter-round edge. Looks a littler higher end. You can also pick up a Lowes 10% off coupon (which HD accepts) at the Post Office. Just tell them you don't have computer access, and ask for a change of address that you mail in. They have Lowes Coupons in them.

I lucked out one day and was at Lowes while the vendor was there changing out displays. After much discussion with the manager, they let me buy a display faucet for $10 (normally over $200). I just had to agree that I couldn't return it if it was missing pieces or didn't work. Keep you eyes peeled for one!

I am so Ranting right now. I ordered some Mr. Clean off the 'bay last week. I bought and paid for them on Mon. so I would get them before the GC deal ended last week. Well, I didn't, even though it said they shipped tue, and I received other coupons I ordered and paid for on Wed from further away. I received it today, and they are missing! The Qs are wrapped in the invoice, and the 2 other sets of Qs I ordered, just because I "may" use them are there, but the Mr. Clean that I really wanted, is not! I sent the seller a message, but since it took 7 days to get them, and they expire on the 30th, I'm doubting I will get them in time. And, if I do, I'll have to be a S&G'er to use them.

The only saving grace (for the seller), is that she still has them listed at the same price, so it was probably a mistake, not a "I realized this Q is more valuable and am going to sell it for more" mistake. Otherwise, I'd have to send Jamie over there to Chairbash the seller, since she is in TX. laugh out loud

grass jelly is an asian food product that i grew up w/. see-

http://mehungry-phyllis.blogspot....jelly.html

it's supposed to be good for you-

Grass Jelly (Mesona Palustris type) also knows as 凉粉 / 仙草 (chinese), Cincau Hitam (Indonesian) , Suong Sam / Suong Sao (Vietnamese). It made by boiling the aged and slightly fermented stalks and leaves of Mesona Palustris for several hours with a little starch. It will be in black color liquid and then we cooling it and become a jelly-like consistency. This jelly can be cut into cubes or other forms to mixed with syrup as a refreshing drink or dessert. It's cooling (yin) effect make it best consumed during hot weather or fasting break (buka puasa) for moslem. The jelly itself has a slight bitter taste and a light iodine lavender flavor.

Grass Jelly is very good for healthy because it nutritious. It contain :

* High fiber
* High Carbohydrate
* Some minerals : Phosphor and Calcium
* Some Vitamin : A, B1 and C

Grass Jelly benefits :

* For refreshing and cooling drink or dessert
* Reduce temperature and fever
* Prevent Indigestion
* Lower high blood pressure
* Help to loose weight as it have low calories

http://grassjellyindonesia.blogspot.com/

chinese believe some foods are *hot* and some foods are *cool* but nothing to do w/ spicy or the temperature. grass jelly is cooling and you eat it like slippery cubed jello sweetened w/ inverted sugar syrup (i don't know what this is, it comes in packets like ketchup) or maple syrup for dessert or a midafternoon snack. you can also have it over shaved ice w/ some other stuff. it's supposed to balance out all the potato chips, bbq'd food, soda and other not so good for you food you eat in the summertime. watermelon and cucumber are also cool foods.

fyi- peaches, apricots and cherries are *hot* foods so you really have to know what's what.

for convenience, but it's probably not as good for you as the original, it comes in a canned drink-
http://www.amazon.com/Twelve-Chin...221&sr=1-2

people either like it or hate it. it is a tiny bit bitter and pretty much no taste. we just drowned it in maple syrup and slurped it down when i was young b/c it's good for you. it is very refreshing when it's hot out.

Very interesting info, but honestly, I don't think I have ever tasted iodine.

Update on my rant earlier, the seller sent me a very apologetic message and said she would send them out within the hour. While I was on there, I happened to order 3 more sets of 20 Mr. Clean MQs from a seller in FL. Those, I should get Thur, Fri. at the latest. woot My house will be really clean! Wink
