Thanks guys!! Those links are helpful! I just sux that I have a one person HR department and she is sooooo not someone who belongs in HR, she is very difficult to talk to. Annoyed

....
Thanks for posting that link! I bought some of the $5 Qs for the first time! Now to get my hands on some of those $10/20s that Meesh is handing out Evil lol! jk meesh...I dont live in NY or NJ anyway Sadwalk
cherry, suggestion: how about drafting a nice, polite, playing dumb email to said HR rep? something that doesn't set off her defenses, but does put her on notice that she needs to act? just something like hey -------, hope you are well! i was looking at my recent paystub/payroll info and noticed that I have been classified as an hourly employee ever since I returned from my maternity/family leave. I was a salaried employee when I left for leave. As I understand it, under the FMLA your status stays the same when you return, so I was a bit confused. Figuring there's just some processing error somewhere or perhaps I am misunderstanding something? So I thought I'd write in to you cos you're always so good at getting to the bottom of things.
Big thanks for all your help,
best/sincerely, cherry.

Sending an email like this does three things 1) puts it all in writing and requires her to respond back to your email which means that's in writing, too; 2) puts them on notice -- nicely -- that you're calling them on their foul and are aware of it; 3) avoids a confrontation while also bolstering her power status a little which might/could help in her attitude towards you.

figured out the shenanigans on the deals thread. now to go decipher the kohl's business. i spend so much time playing deal detective these days, it leaves very little time to go be the deal superwoman. laugh out loud

sorry dh disappointed you. but since you know him so well, in the future you can pick exactly where you want to go and what you want to do and he'll have to do it since he didn't have any alternatives planned out.

and you are not cheating! that is a diet technique called portion control. it's been recommended that when you get your entree, you immediately ask for a takeout box and put half your food in there and take it home. actually better control than if you just did it when you are full.

LMAO I send in lots of goodies @ the beginning of the year too for the class/teacher b/c you know they seem like they do a really good job with the kids and most of the parents around here are arse's and don't do much for the teachers @ all. So for last Christmas we did a huge wicker basket with candies, candles, hot chocolate, teas, starbucks coffee, etc. So this year I decided to do these bags cause they were cute and about the same price as the baskets sooooo it would be a different interesting gift LOL My DH hates me bringing home candy so normally I give it all away... my kids would sneak 100 bags of any candy if they can get their hands on it.. yuck!! LOL

HUGS!!

I emailed her, told her I would like to meet with her regarding my status change, she called me (we work in diff locations) asked me what questions I had, told her I disagree with the change, she said--and I quote--"what is the big deal? I took your salary and divided into an 80 hour pay period and it comes out the same." ME- "I understand but I do not always work 40 hours/wk due to scheduling at our location" HER (and I QUOTE again!)--"well you've had a pretty sweet ride then, haven't you??"!!! This is the type of person I am dealing with...the convo just went down hill fast after that...

That's what he said why don't u just tell me what u want exactly. I know he felt bad. I always know everything that's going on, so I guess it would be hard for him to plan anything, especially since I control the finances lol.

As for eating out I didn't do to bad I only had half my soup and like 4 bites of my actual entree', I did have the two bread sticks but I haven't been eating bread and potatos lately, and was feeling deprived lol.

Ok that is not acceptable at all!! What type of postion do you hold? Not trying to get personal but I think this is completely horrid!! Do you have a direct manager to speak with? According to FMLA, she is only allowed to change your title if your BENEFITS and PAY are the same, if I were you I would print out the info from the FMLA site and bring it directly to her or e-mail it to her.. that's bull---t!!
