No, no, I'm talking about Kohls. I guess throwing that in there for absolutely no reason is a bit confusing.

Trying to decide whether to buy the pdf or link version. Link is cheaper and I don't mind clicking the links. But if the pdf were several to a page and hit print and there ya have all 20 then I would do that. I just don't want to print a bunch of stupid ads.

Mine pdfs were one to a page as i said Large Q's HTH. However I had no problems with them.

Wow! It took me all day, but finally caught up from Friday!

Weekend went by way too fast. Spent Sat morn in Urgent Care, now have to take DS to the orthopedist on Wed, they think he has torn his miniscus. Have insurance, but the deductable is $2400. Oof.

Good news is, Urgent Care was across the parking lot from Kohl's! Can't wait for the next 15% coupon to come out!

Hope this isn't too off-topic...but this week, while exhausting (67-hour, 2-job work week), has been amazing - won a SD giveaway and proposed / got engaged(!) two days ago Smilie

I wanted to give back to those on this thread who have helped find so many deals (and run the ink on my printer down to nothing Wink) So...

PM me with the subject of "Target Thread Giveaway" and let me know what your two to three favorite Target deals have been over the years. I'll draw at least two people out of those who enter for at least a $5 Target GC.

[extra notes: Must have at least 25 reps&posts, will be open until at least late Wednesday, maybe as late as Friday night. I want this to be in this thread only, so please don't repost in other threads! Thanks & Good luck!]

niko, CONGRATULATIONS! Applause and Yahoo!

and thank you for such a sweet, festive, generous gesture!

Very helpful info! Repped you over in deals this AM before I left for T - love, love, love the AF fruit strips. You are right, NO JUNK in them. They are 1 WW point, perfect for a sweet snack that isn't all that unhealthy nod Mostly real fruit and real fruit juice and completely worth the $2 when you are dieting IMHO. Healthier than fruit snacks, etc. for the kiddos too. DD loves them!
yayy! so glad it helped/you liked info. by the way i got to trying the apricot flavor today also. LIKE it!

flug, BIG prayers going out your way!
also, one pc of unsolicited advice: if your husband knows any senior/more experienced people in his field, he might want to network with them and have a one-on-one phone or personal conversation with them, explain the career turn he's at and ask for advice/guidance on negotiating a raise. people like being asked for help and i have found in most fields, people who have been there before us are willing to guide us/help us along if we take the initiative. he'll make some great contacts that way and come away with some invaluable advice on talking points/approaches to get the best deal for himself.

No chance of catching up here - just saying Hi!!! WW to all!!!!!!!
wave this thread has turned into a field of dandelions - conversations sprouting up with wild joyous abandon at every turn. none of us have been managing to catch up easily when we fall behind. but the good news is there's a whole new field of blooming conversations every few hours. Big Grin

Can someone tell me how to set up an alert that includes more stores than just Target?

I'd like to set up Macys, and I'm looking for a Harley davidson rocker Power wheels for xmas ,from anywhere.
set up a separate deal alert for each store, and each keyword that you're interested in, for each forum that they might come up in. so for example, macy's would be in deal talk and in hot deals. walgreens would be in hotdeals and in drugstore forum. and so forth.
and so there would be 2 deal alerts for the keyword macys. then 2 deal alerts for the keywords "harley davidson rocker power wheels" and so forth.
but for each deal alert that you set up, under notification select instant, and then under frequency select daily. that way you will get one message each day (Pm or email or both, depending on what you selected) listing all the threads that match all your deal alerts. it's like a daily digest.

congrats on your self control and committment!! super proud of you! High Five

now do you have an ice cream maker at home? if not, look on ebay... i got a brand new one for 15 bucks a couple of years ago. you don't need one but it is faster with one.

but at any rate, if you take skim milk and some fat free half and half, or alternatively just use fat free plain yogurt, then blend with some vanilla essence, and run through the ice cream maker, you can have delicious, filling, fat free and super healthy for you homemade icecream/frozen yogurt. or you can take the milk-hh/ff yogurt and in a blender add some chopped fruit (like raspberries, strawberries, mangoes, bananas, honeydew melon - whichever one you like). blend till completely smooth, then run through ice cream maker. the latter can even be frozen without an ice cream maker, just by putting into cups or ice trays and putting in fridge. my mum used to make us mango ice cream, strawberry ice cream, banana ice cream, pistachio ice cream that way when we were kids. worked like a charm and was yummy!

Okay, wtf do you do when your dr is demanding you come back in for an appt before she'll give refills...but a)you don't have the gas to even get to the office an hour away and b)you can't afford an office visit?

Had she told me a month ago that I had to be back, I would never have started new medications. And I certainly wouldn't have spent all my money on blood work and the office visit last time. It was my impression that I only needed to come back if they weren't working or I was having negative side effects (neither of which are the case).

I just don't know what to do.
Quote from gt6mk31 :
....Ask to have the doctor call you. When she does, explain that to her and see if she will refill. Explain, that you cannot, it will be a matter of you will simply not be medicated. It's worth a shot.
Quote from LongTimeLurker7 :
As gt said, I would call your doctor. Explain that you don't have insurance right now (or if you do, crappy insurance), and ask if you can get a 3 mo. refill, and by then you *should* have your insurance, and can come back for an appointment then. Tell her you'll make an appointment for your re-check (make it now for 3 mo. out). *If* you don't have insurance by then or can't afford it, you can always call and cancel later on. Most doctors feel better about prescribing something when you have an appointment on the books.
My doctor was very understanding when I was in this position, and gave me refills for a year, until I did get insurance again.

Most doctors don't know if you have insurance or not, they don't deal with that part of the practice, they just used the "come back in" as a canned response, to CYA.
Quote from tn_native :
I'd think that they'd like to check the levels in your blood of certain hormones and enzymes, having to do with your condition. Mine will NOT give you refills if you don't go to see her and have blood drawn at least once a year. They pulled 3 vials from me on Thursday, when I went in to check on the foot, but only after receiving an ass chewing about being off my medication for the last 8 months.
kallison, you've already got some great advice here. i would just add this:

good doctors are your partners in having good health. which means when you run into a roadblock, you're not required to solve it yourself. they are there to help you - they are your advocates and so the first step is to take them into confidence and have a very honest conversation with them.
most doctors care much more about your health and well-being than about insurance companies. some docs are exceptions to that rule and in that case it's time to get a new doc. but most of the time, your health and well being is their priority - it's why they became docs, to heal people/rid them of their pain and suffering. so if you're honest, chances are she will figure out a way to help you.

also, tn brings up a very good point. some medications need regular checkups for your safety and wellbeing. if that is the case with the rx she currently has you on, perhaps you'll be able to ask her for a short-term alternative until she can do another round of testing and put you back on these meds.

finally most hospitals nationwide have a medical assistance program. they do not advertise it. ever. because they don't want people taking advantage of it. but when doctors realize that people are up against the wall, they put in a recommendation and the hospital does end up waiving/reducing the costs. so having this conversation with your doc is to your benefit cos it could save you a lot on tests, office visits etc.

and finally finally (promise!), if you don't have insurance, have you looked into any of the prescription benefit cards, supplemental insurance cards? many of them work so that for a very small payment each year, you save a huge amount on prescriptions and in the case of supplemental insurance programs on lab work and other tests. worth looking into.

prayers going out for you also tonight! hang in there!

Yeah, I have an ice cream maker. I love homemade ice cream. Now I must Chairbash you for planting that craving! Actually, I do low carb, so I would be better off using nearly all heavy cream and a little half & Half like I usually do. And a can of sweetened condensed milk. I could eat that with a spoon.... or just lick the lid like I usually do. Now, do you see WHY I am on a diet????

Hmmmm, I have a birthday coming up. It's sort of a tradition in my family to have homemade ice cream on bdays. We have let it slide... but if I am gonna cheat on my diet on my bday...... Oooo, that would be soooo good with the angle food cake with cherry frosting hubby always brings me. Ok, getgreen, this is ALL YOU FAULT!!!!

What frustrates me is that I made it very clear that I don't have insurance and I can't even get insurance. And she even told me that 30 days on these medicines wouldn't make much of a difference. When I called, I told her that I found find a way to get in next month, before I moved. But I've been waiting for a week for her to call in these refills and she won't budge.

Now, see, that prescription has 1 refill left. It's another one that I need and I it has nothing to do with hormones or anything like that (and surely nothing drastic has changed in 5 weeks since I've had it done?).

I'm so frustrated.

It must be because this flavor was nearly all gone at mine today....not a big apricot-flavor fan but I may get some for DD, she will eat about anything.

I need to get either some FiberOne bars or the Kelogg's FiberPlus bars - I recall using those the last time I lost weight. Need to find a deal.

So I did really, really well today with counting points and then my free Mrs. Fields cookies showed up on the porch. Damn that Mrs. Fields. It's like she knows I can't resist her cookies. I mean, who signed me up for that referral program anyways? Rofl2

no no no, wait, cheating is not allowed. my suggestions were about a way to have your craving and eat it too, WHILE HONORING YOUR DIET. no cheating! you're doing great, no breaking that amazingness!

hug

p.s. i did so many diets as a teen, that eventually i finally came to realize one thing about myself, denial of things i like or going hungry and not eating when i'm hungry etc - just overall denial of food, does not work for me. regardless of whether i'm trying to cut back on fat, or carbs, or add more protein or whatever, i have to always find a way to honor the rules but still eat the things i enjoy. because then i don't feel deprived/don't obsess or constantly crave something and all that means i stick to the weight loss routine. only you'll know what works for you. i'm an independent spirit, so rigid dictated rules never work for me in any endeavour. but i firmly believe once we find what kind of limitation method works with our eating patterns, we can pick most diets and be successful at them.

which is all to say, i'm truly, genuinely sorry if i set you off-track. you're doing fab! keep at it! hug

I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had the big bag of fall M&M's included in the GC deal....good for baking monster cookies, etc. I did bring one big bag of the little mini snickers, musketeers, twix into the house and am happy to report that I did not eat much of it Big Grin

Does Kohls take MQ? Like, for toys and such? If so, the LPS are free.

Buy 2 @ $8.99
minus $4.50 for the BOGO 50% sales
minus $8.99 for the BOGO MQ
minus $5 KC

Went to Kohls today. Finally. Let's just say that if they had let me use all my $5 cpns, I would've been hooked. They only let me use 2, so I got a new pair of corduroys for me & a shirt to match for less than $15 OTD. The Jumping Beans toddler clothes are 2/$10, so I would've cleaned them out if I could've used more.... maybe tomorrow.

Went to WM. Took 26 bottles of Gain dish detergent up to cust. svc. Asked them whether or not they would accept the $1MQ. They said yes. Whee Walked out with 26 bottles for $1.56. The End.
