McDonald's Happy Meal resists decomposition for six months

Vladimir Lenin, King Tut and the McDonald's Happy Meal: What do they all have in common? A shocking resistance to Mother Nature's cycle of decomposition and biodegradability, apparently.

That's the disturbing point brought home by the latest project of New York City-based artist and photographer Sally Davies, who bought a McDonald's Happy Meal back in April and left it out in her kitchen to see how well it would hold up over time.

The results? "The only change that I can see is that it has become hard as a rock," Davies told the U.K. Daily Mail.

She proceeded to photograph the Happy Meal each week and posted the pictures to Flickr to record the results of her experiment. Now, just over six months later, the Happy Meal has yet to even grow mold. She told the Daily Mail that "the food is plastic to the touch and has an acrylic sheen to it."

not surprised shake head....and fat people (MCD addicts) wonder why this stuff doesn't break down after they eat it Scratchchin

...maybe those who come back as zombies are those who only have MCD guts/tissue left after sitting the ground for a while and why they are difficult to kill...and they start craving fresh, real meat

nod yummy

from the MCD documentaries you can tell it's a LOT different....not to mention they have the bonus MCD hotels
I also had to use hand gestures and lots of pointing to get my order in of what we wanted for our order laugh out loud Most of the people working there don't speak english (sorta like in the US laugh out loud)

What surprised me was used real parmesan cheese on the salad we ordered (like slices of parmesan cheese, instead of the canned/grated stuff). I can't remember he details on the burger though... but again, nothing compared to what's served here laugh out loud

you've never bought them?

They should be having ones for halloween. It's regional, but you can find them if you keep checking back. They vary by edition but they usually have coupons for free burgers (small), cookies, juice/milk, ice cream cones (small), fries (small).....etc. For only $1 you get like 3 or 4 of each coupon, and they are good for ~1 year. EEK!

Now, on some of them they do say they have to be used when a kid is present so either have a kid, borrow one, or just go through the drive through and lie. Mostly it depends on the cashier and whether they pay attention to it (if it says it).
