For Women Only..What's the largest age difference to get married?

2,091 502 October 13, 2010 at 04:52 AM in Chat
I am a man.....I have a girl that is interested in marrying me....I feel uncomfortable with our age difference and feel she is too young, but need other opinions because I am no expert in marriage, having never done it before.

I just want to get different opinions on what the women on this board feel is a reasonable (to them) age difference...Please post your opinion, no matter what that is. I am asking women only because I feel they are more in tune with this and have a better perspective...

Thanks in advance.

Your criteria is wrong. There is such a thing as physical attraction. Someone may only be attracted to skinny girls or tall men. Doesn't make them shallow. Or blonde women.

See the difference? You can't be attracted to money laugh out loud
Sure, you can be attracted to money.
John Walsh, the host on America's Most Wanted was screwing a different Hawaiian Tropic model every week until his wife caught him. This was going on for years. His secret was that he'd fly them in first class and spend lavishly on them. Do you think these young models were attracted to his looks or personality? If he was not wealthy, would these woemn even talk to him or acknowledge that he exists? Nope, they hung out with him because he spent lavishly on them.. that means they were attracted to his money.

laugh out loud I will give you that.. Income is not important to everyone.. Everyone has their own superficial things that they care about.

Physical attraction is also superficial.. Nothing wrong with that.
For you physical attraction is mandatory. That may not be the case for other people. Everyone has their own priorities.
True. I didn't say I couldn't fall in love with someone I wasn't initially physically attracted to though. I'd just probably reject them until I grew to be attracted to who they were over time.

I just usually go for the "love at first sight" type of relationships.

Sexytime is N O T "superficial"! Ranting

the opposite of superficial would be deep amiright?

from the interwebs:
Quote :
The opposite of superficial is deep. For example, the spine is deep in the body, while the skin is superficial. The term superficial is not limited to structures on the very outside of the body, such as the skin or eyes. It also refers to structures inside such as bones, muscles and more.
... lie down and I'll show you exactly how non-superficial it can be Evil

Umn... no, that's not attraction. They like money, but they're not attracted to it.

I can be attracted to big boobs, but if I see a pile of money I don't get a boner.

Big difference.

I think over 99% of people are shallow. Maybe they don't admit, but they are.

How many people here have not dated someone due to looks, weight, height, or income?
I bet everyone here has rejected someone without giving them a chance. I know I have.

Any person that says income of a potential mate has no bearing on their decision is lying.
If they are unemployed/broke/whatever (or have some other flaw) they need something else to make up for it.

The holier than thou attitude on this board is hillarious laugh out loud
I haven't. Wave

Dead serious. When I was dating, I had a policy that if a guy asked me out, and I was not in a relationship at the time, I would always say yes. I dated guys shorter than me, WAY taller than me, thin guys, heavy guys, guys with glasses, guys that weren't conventionally handsome, etc.

I knew that it took a lot of guts to ask a girl out, so I figured the least I could do was give the guy a chance. What's wrong with that? Dontknow

If I had said "no" to a guy solely because of the way he looked or dressed or something else like that, I would have felt like a total dirtbag.

Since we are referring to sbux I don't think "common knowledge" ever comes into the picture.

Yeah, I went on a ton of bad dates. LMAO Most of the guys were really nice, a couple of jerks, but a lot we just didn't have much in common.

It worked out for me, though! If I had judged before going out with the guy, I never would have married my husband!

He was so quiet and shy at first, I mistook him for boring, but I went out with him again because he was so nice and such a good listener.

And after a couple of dates, I found out he was incredibly smart and interesting, and long story short, we got married three years later! Happy

So you never really know. Smilie

Facepalm I really hope, and I mean really hope that you aren't this shallow, ignorant and stupid in real life. If so, I am never, ever going to Texas. Seriously, please stop trying to speak for all women.

Or all of Texas? I don't think one person (for lack of a better word or an attempt at not getting warned) is representative of all people in Texas.
