Oh dear. None of that sounds like it's going to be cheap without insurance.

But the alternative is WAY worse!

How long has it been like this? If it's been more than four days or so, I'd probably go that urgent care place and see what they have to say.
Well I'll have insurance soon. Technically I'd have insurance now if it weren't for a huge mess of bureacratic paperwork involved with the Cobra process.

It'd been three days. Today by far being the worst. I went to bed last night at 8. Got up at 6:30 with R and called in someone to cover my shift at work. Slept from 7 until 1. I guess I should go today and see someone. To further complicate matters my primary care provider quit practicing last year while I was gone to TN. Typically I would just pop into her office and ask her thoughts. I saw her partner (who is still practicing at the same office) a few months ago and he's about as helpful as a rock.

I remember the days when I had to think carefully about every nickel too but sacrificing your health probably isn't a good option! Not even a good way to save money either!

Think of it this way. It's better to bite the bullet and expense rather than get worse, have to still pay the expense later on, and miss even more time from work.

Oh and we have an electric washer and dryer, his is a gas washer and dryer...I'm still trying to figure out what a gas washer does..Scratchhead

So I'm home sick today. Trying to decide if I have a bad summer cold or the beginnings of a sinus infection (remember last winters round of one per month for 4 months?) Wouldn't be such a big deal if my insurance wasn't in lalla land. It lapsed from CB and now I have to continue it myself via Cobra but that paperwork just came last week and I haven't sent the check yet. There's a $60 urgent care place near here;tryingt o decide if I should just go now.
Frown sorry to hear...I get the same way, used to get upper respiratory infections all the time..and they'd give me a Zpak and it would work for a week, then sick again...now the Zpaks don't even work. So I drink lemon tea with honey, and use those weird saline nose rinse things when it starts up and it's usually gone in a few days without anti-biotics...I swear by it. But you have to catch it before it's in your chest bad.

Hope you get better soon, sinus colds suck.hug

If you're signing up for cobra - it's retroactive. So, you can go now before it's sorted out and still submit your claims later.

I called a few days ago and that's what the rep told me. It's only $60 to go today and my insurance has a $30 urgent care deductable to it's not a huge difference anyways.

I would have already paid the Cobra payment except, as usual with insurance, something got screwed up and my regular insurance billed me for July and August. Since I didn't want to have a lapse in coverage I paid the bill thinking my previous employer hadn't ended my coverage. Then I got the Cobra bill for July and August. I spent almost an hour on the phone trying to sort out who I should have paid. Turns out I should have paid Cobra and not my old insurance. So I'm expecting a refund in the mail which I will then send to Cobra. Ugh. Makes my head hurt dealing with this.

I just finished reading it and I think that was a great article! There was some stuff even I learned and I'm a total coupon nut! Like writing the company about their products? That works?

The Blogger person needs to clean up the formatting though! It looks like she just pasted what you wrote in there and the formatting got all FUBAR'ed. There's a lot of white space on each line and it makes it harder to read! She should fix it!!!

I'm probably being anal again though!
Oh, yeah. It totally works. Just don't bother with Kraft or Procter and Gamble. Unless something is wrong with a product you got from them, they aren't sending you anything. SCJohnson is really good about sending coupons, and I've sent emails about several of the food items we use and have generally gotten a good response. Not everyone will send coupons, but a lot will.

And I sent it to her in Word, so she probably did copy/paste for the most part. Roll

Great article jenni! I agree with Mr. Burns, I learned some stuff too! woot

This is the mistake I always make. Especially if the coupon is about to expire. In my head I'm going, "I went to all the trouble of clipping this thing, I'm damn sure gonna use it!" Then I wind up spending more than I intended and chewing up all my other coupon savings. Down
Thanks. Blush I was worried that it was too wordy. laugh out loud
I still make that mistake sometimes. Especially on a high dollar coupon.

Yeah z-pacs are useless for me now too. I looked at the pharmacy receipt for the last antibiotic I took and it's 1500mg of Ciprofalaxin. Faint I tried the neit pot yesterday and got no relief from it. Seems to be working better today and,as gross as it sounds, when I'm blowing my nose today gunk is coming out. I'm not a huge fan of antibiotics as they wreak havoc on my digestive system.

Well no wonder they're using that patch then. Roll

Any other things you want? I'll add the white stripes on the preserver. That's no biggie.

You want it more of a flat design or did you prefer it with some depth? The beveling/embossing is easy to do.

I really wish you knew how easy this is to do yourself!! It's harder to post on SD sometimes than it was to do this sort of thing and I'm by no stretch of the imagination any kind of expert!
I have never been good at graphics. I really really appreciate your help! hug Can you save it flat and then bevel it? If that's too much work, just do what looks pretty. It'll need to look nice in color and when printed in grayscale.

Yea I am careful with taking anti-boitics now..my body gets messed up from them too, especially the cipro and clyndimicin.(sp?).
The neti-pot one I've never used....I'll link ya the one I use, it's a little easier then the pot one..but i'll do it twice a day full bottle in each nostil and the gunk that comes up is Sick But it works most the time if you catch it quick.

But omg the Cipro is harsh...I had that when the dog bit me and lost like 20lbs because I couldn't eat and if I did well....yea..laugh out loud

I got it at BJs or Costco and was only like 15 or so...there's tons posted in freebies all the time.

Neti Pot FTW! I used it with my last cold/sinus infection and never needed antibiotics. I washed that junk out of my head. Amazing. And also really gross. But mostly amazing.
