I know it sucks. I went through a divorce in 1999. Eventually I came to realize that it was the best thing to happen to me. I know, different circumstances (we were only married < 2 years).
Let me know if there is anything legal I can do to help.
Thanks. I keep hearing that "best thing that ever happened" bit which gives me some hope.

I second that my divorce was "the best thing that ever happened" in my marriage. We still travel in the same social cirlces and I can see he has not changed one iota. I would still be miserable if we had stayed married.

Sorry about you having to go through all this VQ but I think you're an incredibly strong person and will come out on the flip side just fine.

arj, I understand that he thinks it's funny and a big joke - but it's offensive and disrespectful to his wife. End of story. Happily married people do not go around saying they want to have sex with other people. They just don't. If he was a single guy with no attachments it wouldn't be a big deal. But he is, so it is.
Unless that someone is Jon Bon Jovi...then all bets are off. Stick Out Tongue
(Seriously, it's one thing to joke about celebrities, etc, but totally another to do it about people you come in contact with on a regular basis)

laugh out loud Yeah. I'm crazy but not that crazy. I start Aug. 2 at a place that I think will make me much happier. Smaller company, better pay (although it's a weird scheme--the thread I posted about bonuses & hourly pay, etc.), more satisfying work. I'm pretty excited.

I'm also getting separated and selling my house. It's like a mini-midlife crisis here. I even bought an expensive Alienware laptop (can't afford the sports car just yet). So in the next six months I'll change jobs, become single, and move out of my house to god-knows-where. Assuming the house sells that is.

Oh yeah and I grew a beard.
Congrats on the job, and I'm really sorry about the seperation. hug

Mine is a resentment beard. The wife likes the clean-shaven look too. Meh.

Thanks. It is what it is--without going into too much detail (esp. since nothing's finalized yet), we both did our best. Anyway, yeah, lots of changes. laugh out loud If I think about it too long I want to curl up and hide for a while. So, I don't think about it! Whee
If you did your best, that's all you can do. hug

Ugh just kicked one of the stools that's by the kitchen island (technically I'd call it more of a peninsula but I think only RRG would get that joke), anyways, now my toes is bleeding. Ugh last week I tripped and tore up my other leg and one of my cats bit my arm while I was giving him a bath. Ugh.

And I have a million errands to do today.

Maybe you should stay home. You seem to be having a dangerous time.

Meh, 1/2 the men in the lounge do it... it's part of what makes the lounge -- the lounge. And 1/2 the women in the lounge are complete farking whores, and they think it's the only way to fit in.

I wish I could. I need to go pay for my cleaning business ad to run so that I can get back to work. And list some more stuff on Craigslist, andgo to the grocery store, mail out an almost late anniversary card, stop by Target, wash the boat, clean out my car, do 2 more loads of laundry, vacuum and goodness only knows what else.laugh out loud

What's even funnier is when you post something like $50 OBO, meaning you'll 100% take less than $50, and some idiot pays full price Roll
