Today after school the kids and I took an impromtu side trip to..well I'm still not sure where. We drove for about an hour and it's a beeeautiful drive Nothing but huge hills and hardly any traffic. Then we ended up in somewhere called Smithville and went to a Mexican restaurant we had never heard of. Then they saw a Walmart. We were surprised...we were in the middle of nowhere and I saw a traffic light...I said "Why on Earth is there a light out here?" and then we saw a Walmart behind the trees, lol. Anyway the kids wanted to go to an "out of town Walmart!" so we did. We found some PJs on clearance so Elizabeth and I got matching pajamas and Christian got a How to Train a Dragon pair of pajamas.

Then we saw a sign for a dam...Columbia Dam or something...I've got no idea. It was in Dekalb county anyway. So we drove up and up and up and up and our ears popped and we were on the top and most of the drive we were looking down on tons of hills. It was cool. I found someplace where we could go walk out to some look out and anyway here's the picture. We had a lot of fun especially since it wasn't anything we were planning to do in the first place, lol.

That's a great picture. It was a beautiful spot for it, too.

Yeah...and without a gps too laugh out loud I just remembered the way I went and went back the same way. It's when there's a ton of traffic I get a little flustered, lol.

I had to take advantage of actually getting the two of them in the same picture for once laugh out loud

You know, I love horror movies. Love the Halloween franchise crap, and I honestly don't mind the language in most movies...but watching the 2nd Rob Zombie one....wow, that girl has a potty mouth like no other.

Surprisingly yes laugh out loud They were pretty good.

I found out the name of the place...it's Edgar Evins State Park. I looked at the website and there are a TON of things to do there...we barely touched the tip of it. Someday over the weekend we'll have to go there...camping, swimming, boating, waterfall tours, hiking, cabins, a restaurant on the lake...they even have a watch tower like they have at tator knobs in Kentucky.
