anyone hear about dick van dyke's rescue?
Basically we have a veteren memorial where families bought bricks for their loved ones lost (or living) and it was around a fountain that flew flags, well it flew a christian flag.
Some dbag complained and the city took it down. Well that pissed a lot of people off, and it was all over the news one day and there was a huge rally where over 5k people showed up (that's a lot in a small town) and now they put it back along with some other religious flags and now they are bitching about the other flags..........saying ONLY the christian flag should be allowed as far as religious flags go.

I understood at first when it was just the christian flag being removed as it had been there for a few years not hurting anyone.
Now in a effort to get people to STFU (trust me, people went nuts here, there are flags EVERYWHERE now and signs, etc) they decided to fly it on a limited basis and switch it out with other flags such as the Wiccan flag, the satanic flag and the muslim flag, etc. and now the group of people are bitching about that saying that ONLY the christian flag should be allowed since it is the U.S.

Again, I don't really believe in God, but I really can't stand the people who beat their chests and say "This is Merica! We're CHRISTIAN!". *sigh*
