Well, to my defense, those weren't my friends. Those were friends from her group that I don't hang out with. And those people left for a club in which one of them were DJing.

what happened?
They put him in his crate for the night and he was fine. About 2am he started barking and whining really loud and they thought he needed to go out so the guy put some shoes on and by the time he got downstairs, the puppy was dead.
