when we switched from TWC to AT&T in Feb 2009, we actually saved $5/mo and we were getting more movie channels, better DVR stuff (can record 4 at a time instead of just 2), and we had cable in 2 rooms instead of 1. laugh out loud it was awesome! Big Grin

Whatever I end up buying will be DD-WRT or Tomato compatible, my backup wireless router was plain old 802.11b, but apparently it's died now too. I thought I'd remembered the wired ports on it being flaky but the wireless part still working, but not anymore.
There's an open wireless connection I can see from the house, so I logged into the router and poked around... ssh is open, the router has a name assigned, and one of the clients was running Linux. I'm sure they know how to change the router's password if they know what ssh and Linux are, so I'm too paranoid to run any traffic through it.

hmm well I guess I'll have to look more into it then. We have comcrap right now and we're looking to change to something different whenever we move
