im popping in for advice on anxiety meds.

here's the story:
the past few days i've just been in a panic and having a lot of anxiety Down. i talked to my mom about maybe being put on some sort of meds for this, because i just cant turn off my brain. i keep thinking of all the bad things that can happen and thoughts just build and build until i work myself into a state of anxiety. my mom takes something for anxiety, because she gets stressed out and worked up so easily about things. she says it helps keep her calm and she doesnt get drowsy or feel drugged up at all.

Weeping i just want my brain to stop! it's gotten to the point where i dont even enjoy life because everything seems so farked up because of all my thoughts.

those of you who are on any anxiety meds, why did you start? was it something similar to what im going through? if you want to PM me to keep it private, go ahead.

I don't get it...other than "plan ahead" as in "know what you're doing so the 'd' doesn't end up on the wrong line" and maybe there's PhD?...IDK...I don't get it.

you're saying "plan ahead" but you did not plan ahead because it didn't fit laugh out loud

We don't have cable, I refuse to pay for cable. When I can download basically any show I want for free, screw that. LMAO

We just have internet, and then cell phones, we don't even have a home phone line. What's the use for it anymore? Does anyone still use those things? Dontknow

Hey GG, I'm sorry I can't be of much help, I've never been on meds for anything. You should PM PC though, she'll have some good information for you. I bet she would be able to answer some of your questions.

Did you talk to your doc/therapist about going on some kind of medication?

when i started therapy this year i told her i didnt want to be put on meds for anxiety, but it seems like it's gotten worse, so Dontknow. Crying im just sick and tired of feeling this way. i have an appointment thursday with her, and i'll talk to her about it. i dont thnk she can prescribe anything. she's just a therapist.
