Ummm, have you been to Mexico?

There are chickens wandering around EVERYWHERE! People just have them, all over the place. laugh out loud

You walk through most town, you're bound to trip over a few chickens. LMAO

Plus, it's in a lot of Mexican dishes. Usually under the name "pollo." Do they even have a Spanish word for "tofu?" Harhar

No, I'm just saying it'd be weird to serve tofu in a Mexican restaurant! laugh out loud

Maybe it was just the one here. Mind you, it closed a few years ago, but I seem to remember the cheapest thing on the menu being $6-7.
the most expensive burrito they have is the Homewrecker and that's $6.79 around here. i dunno what other things cost, but i would guess the burritos are the most expensive. you get chips with that though. you don't get chips at Chipotle, you have to buy them for like $2-3 a bag, and that's why i feel like Chipotle is more expensive. though i think the quality of Chipotle is better, so you pay for what you get.

Yeah, I'm the same way, but to people that live in the south, 32 degrees is cold to them.
Not really, I've been walking around in pants and a t-shirt until the last couple of days. Teens is getting cold for me.

Joan of Arcadia's supposed to be on SyFy.

This isn't Joan of Arcadia.

I can get just a burrito for under $5. A combo is generally around $6 something.
Yeah but does Moe's use grass-fed, antibiotic-free/hormone-free meat?

(I have no idea, we don't have a Moe's here.)

So Chinese food can't have chicken because it's a Mexican bird? Scratchchin You're not making any sense. Tofu is just another type of protein. I don't see why the type of restaurant you're at dictates the type of protein offered. laugh out loud

I could see if it was a somewhat-authentic Mexican restaurant... But Moes/Chipotle is nowhere near that, anyway. Burrito = Refried beans, rice, meat. Not black or pinto beans, meat, rice, lettuce, salsa, cheese, and whatever else you can shove in it.

Facepalm

No, it isn't! It's specific to Asian cooking! The name "tofu" is even Asian!

Chicken, beef, pork, that stuff is multi-cultural, but tofu isn't. It's not just "another protein" it's something that's MANUFACTURED AND DOESN'T OCCUR IN NATURE like chicken or beef.

I can't do this, I'm done having this conversation. laugh out loud

Yeah, I would never expect a mexican restaurant (sit down, waitress, menu, etc) to have tofu. I agree, that would be weird. But these fast food burrito places are different.

I wish I didn't have issues with meat. Sadwalk
