State officials are investigating why thousands of fish washed up dead on the shores of the Arkansas River last week.
Officials are expected to release their estimate of the total number of dead fish Monday, local NBC station KARK 4 News reported. It is likely to be in the hundreds of thousands.
The fish were found Thursday by a tugboat operator along a 20-mile stretch of the Arkansas River near the city of Ozark.

Potato. Patato.
Coincidence? I think not.
Read at your own risk- I was thinking earthquakes because of all the earthquakes Arkansas has had recently (500 since Sept. average is 30 a year) but with it being so widespread, who knows?

There are fish kills all the time. They usually turn out to be caused by disease, lower than normal oxygen levels in the water or a chemical spill into the water.

I don't know whether to admire you for your persistence or lament your insanity...
