What the fark is going on in Arkanas?!?!?

State officials are investigating why thousands of fish washed up dead on the shores of the Arkansas River last week.

Officials are expected to release their estimate of the total number of dead fish Monday, local NBC station KARK 4 News reported. It is likely to be in the hundreds of thousands.

The fish were found Thursday by a tugboat operator along a 20-mile stretch of the Arkansas River near the city of Ozark.

The dead bird/bat news stories in bold are redundant as they are about the events in the first three links. The bat deaths are not uncommon amongst free tailed bats. The bats roost in bridges and if the weather is too warm, they don't migrate when they should. Then a cold spell comes along and kills them.

There are fish kills all the time. They usually turn out to be caused by disease, lower than normal oxygen levels in the water or a chemical spill into the water.

It's mass Ichtycide/Avicide. They are depressed because they didn't get what they wanted for Christmas.

(my serious guess would be that we'll see a big disaster soon - who knows, maybe the pre-cambrian volcanoes will become active again)
