Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

When my son was growing up my grandmother saved her news papers to recycle rather than pay to put them in the trash so we would go pick them up for her. Instead of taking them to the recycle drop off we would take them down to the Humane Society so they could use them to line the litter boxes and put under the puppy cages. While we were there we would love on every animal they had so they wouldnt feel so alone. We would help out doing odd choirs here and there since they were always short handed. We finally told my grandmother what we were doing and she was so happy that they were going to a good cause. I prefer the no-kill shelters but we chose to show some love to animals that might not get that chance again
I think it's wonderful that people help out at shelters, giving animals the love and attention that they deserve. I just can't do it myself. I do, however, bring the nearest one sheets, towels, pillows, and stuff like that once a year. They don't care if the stuff has holes or the wash cloths are worn. It's the best I can do, because I quite simply can't go inside the shelter itself. I'm just so grateful that my vet helps me out.

I have a friend who only takes Old English Sheepdogs. They have special rescue groups for them. She'll spend weeks deciding which one to take and honestly can't understand how I'll adopt an animal sight-unseen. I wouldn't care if they had no ears or tails or were recovering from mange. I'll love whatever I get, and they're so happy to have homes, it's a win-win.

And speaking of winning, where or where is my netbook? My sister's birthday is January 11 and she was on my niece's team. She's hoping that as a present for her, they'll ship it out that day. I nod sagely and tell her that there's no harm in hoping. But personally, I'm aiming for Easter.

I told the rep that I knew others had been given the option to get things like lighters or coffee mugs....she wouldn't budge.....told me every account is different & she could only offer me the option to change my bonus gift for coupons. Frown
I've already called twice, once to tell them I still want the coat I ordered (when I received the email about the option to change orders), then again about the 50 extra points.
Don't want to tick them off.....and have them blacklist me from a trip to The Ranch someday. Wink
I did ask if I could trade my 50 points for a trip to the ranch LOL and she laughed too, but said she would pass the message along because they like to know these things. Oh I also did a survey about OWTW with the same woman.

Maybe you'll receive your new baby netbook by Valentine's day...you are, and have been ready to give it a good home & the love it deserves.
