Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

My cat, Smokey, absolutely loves to be brushed. She was wandering around my old work place fall of '97. She warmed up to a couple of us, then we were worried about her being outside in the winter. I ended up taking her - good barn cat. She likes being outside, but in the winter she stays in the garage/shop. We bring her in the house sometimes but she wants to go right back out. She even caught a couple squirrels! With bird of prey around, her color is perfect - gray. Even now, she's still pretty shy.
This will sound terrible, but I had one cat taken by hawks in Joshua Tree, and I wasn't upset. She was an aweful cat. Would pick on the boy kitty, and would howl like she was getting tortured. Her name was rat-kitty, and she was even worse than her name!! I love cats, but she was just evil. Maybe because she was my ex's cat!! Not!! She was evil!!

UPS delivers via storks???? That explains a whole heck of a lot ! ! ! With all the rain we've been having, even bird brains know to stay inside. nod It's supposed to rain again tonight. My poor baby netbook may never arrive.

On the other hand, it's nice knowing that some large beaked bird is keeping it dry. woot

It's already raining in Laguna

Hey, the caribou I shot a number of years ago (and I had mounted) now has pursed lips. I accidently shot it's balls off. I strung up what was left on it's antlers and took it back to the lodge. Needless to say, the folks at the lodge from the hunt pretty much steered clear of me!

So, no need to be talking to me about Sarah. I do just fine by myself and have quite an arsenal myself - Remington 30 ought 6, 45 Ruger single action, .38 Smith and Wesson Special, 44 mag recently acquired (commemorative Alaska) and my Dad's old .22 - oh, forgot a 410/22 combo as well that I won. I think that's it.

Good evening.

Wish the unsavories would stay outside our box.

Ya'll were talking about birds earlier - some of our Chickadees here have mutant beaks - long and curved which makes it difficult for them to eat obviously.

Sometimes I wonder if the strange goings on in nature is simply that - part of nature, i.e., global warming, etc. Any thoughts?
Could have something to do with H.A.A.R.P. if it was we will never know.It has also been happening in other part's of the world,Brazil,New Zealand,Sweden.

Well, as I always say, things happen for a reason!

Smokey is a sweet one. She doesn't play much and I think is content just having a warm place to stay. When I got her (never had cats before) I thought free feeding would be the thing to do. Not with her! She ate everything in sight! Figured from being a stray is where that comes from. You hear of dogs getting into garbage sacks/cans. She would do that! This cat is very small, too - only around 7 lbs.

my kitchen knives are from 1970 still as good as new
A few years ago I had a friend whos son was a little slow and he loved to sharped knives. For Christmas he gave me a present. He had taken one of the silver butter knives out of the case and sharpened it so much it looked more like a paring knife. My friend asked him why he would ever think I would need a shiv!!! I still have it and its as sharp as ever. LMAO

I tried some in Wildwood,N.J. about a year ago...I was a little hesitant on trying it.They had free samples and I took one and I asked what it was and he said chocolate covered bacon and I thought "yuk" so I broke it in half and gave my friend the biggest piece,lol..It took us a minute to get over the shock of what it was,but we liked it....I even made some last year for people to try out and after the shock they too liked it.

It is funny about cats! My roomie is not a cat person. He doesn't hate cats but seperated himself because he has to kill many of them on the farm that he works at. But when it comes to Sommy, he turns to mush! I see him laying on the floor, playing with the cat!! The toughest of men turn to softies when dealing with kitties!!
