Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Isn't it great winning lotteries in countries you have never even been to?

I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how little spam I get on my junk email account since this thread has got me entering contests galore.

I use a web email account (yahoo) to enter contests. I figure entering all these contests will cause a lot of spam. I never give my email acct I have for family and friends. Can you unsubscribe to some of the spam? It may help.

Yes, that clamp fitting (ZIF socket) will generally be made of 2 pieces, one which is fixed to the motherboard, the other clips into it and clamps the ribbon down. You are just loosening the piece with tabs, NOT removing it (you don't want to pry so hard that it pops out of the fixed piece, as it can break - I repaired a laptop once that someone else had mucked with, breaking it loose, and it dropped off while I wasn't looking, was a bear to find).

Your fitting may not be the same as what I am describing, but if you take a really close look at it, you can figure out how it releases the cable.

All I got s e-mail for coupons. Shouldn't even have them. When i switched to netbook from bike it gave up coupons and cig case. Supose to only get netbook and guess gift.
