Best Mexican places I've been to are whole in the wall places, I'm not talking about chains like... none come to mind right now, but I know there are 1-2 mexican chain places.

Mexican -- The closest one I've found so far was about a 45 minute drive, so that would be a -- no. Tons of local/hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese and Thai places though.

Tex-mex -- all over the place.

We do have a Del Taco out here now, but it's in the mall that I only go to when forced. I ate at Sbarro last time I was there.

we have a couple chain mexican places around here: El Dorado, La Rancherita, etc. in fact, DH and i had our first date at El Dorado, and rather than have a big elaborate rehearsal dinner before the wedding, we went back to El Dorado and rented out the back half of the restaurant for about 30 people. it was sorta special that way Girly and now the owner knows us, so he always comes over to chat with us when we eat there. laugh out loud
