as much as i love most of Rachael Ray's recipes, i was completely turned off by her when i met her at a book signing. she didn't even look at me as she signed my book. she's like "hey, how's it going, thanks for coming!" and never once even looked up from the book to smile at me. and she wouldn't allow anyone to take pictures within 15 feet of her. there was a line you had to stand behind in order to take a picture, and you most certainly couldn't pose with her - and don't expect her to look up and smile either.

That's disheartening.
To be honest, I don't think she's all that fantastic. I was never a fan of her show, or some of the weird ingredients she likes to use. (I got a book as a gift once and it seemed like a third of the recipes called for swordfish - WTF?
And now she has a talkshow and stuff, which I've seen once or twice, didn't find it all that great.
And I got a subscription to her magazine for a couple dollars a year from a slickdeal, but I only did it for the recipes.
In that stuffed greek chicken, she said it'd be cooked in 20 minutes - uhh, yeah, try 40 minutes chickie.
I took it out after 20, and the ones in the middle were still REALLY pink. So much for a 30 minute meal.
