Need to catch up on reading but just got done handing out candy. Was only 1/2 way thru my stock pile but the gunshots from what sounded like a 1/2 block away was all I needed to decide I was done.

Good grief. The kids and their parents walking around barely flinched, like it was no big deal. I've lived in this neighborhood nearly 5 years and I will never get use to the gunshots and helicopters.

But then again the house I am in is in a small but beautiful neighborhood oasis in the hood and the prices for our homes are under 100K when the same homes would go for 300-500 just a few miles away and probably well over a million in larger metropolitan areas on either coast. One of the homes has over 20 rooms and its own original turn of the century Otis Elevator. Several were built by an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright and one two doors down was featured on "If Walls Could Talk" on HGTV. Just can't decide sometimes if the trade off of cheap historic homes is worth the risk of cross fire.

Whee Finally nice to be on the favorable calls on some (a bunch) of official reviews. I have to say M2C, you were the spoiler of this game for me Coverlaugh I was waiting to watch the game with DH after he got home from work, so I was trying to avoid any news about the game so no facebook, espn etc...thought TCC was safe! LMAO No worries...it was still very exciting

I still think it beeps INF first. K3 or K1 brings up the list?

Meesh: Hope you feel better!! ::

Happy Halloween everyone!! DS had a Halloween party on Friday and FINALLY put on his costume. He loved it! Whee Little DS is showing signs of being sick, so I am not sure if the cutest Tigger will make his trick or treating debut. Also, today is DH's birthday Wink
Thanks sweetie!! I am feeling better... so how was his Halloween party? Are you moving soon? HUGS!!

Happy Halloween..Trick or Treating has officially started
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! No trick or treaters here all night..waaaa and I had lots of good candies for them lol

My toddler opened the door and let the dog out. Dog got hit by a car. It doesn't look bad - she has a scrape on her leg and chin, isn't moaning or whining, but limps when she walks around. I called every open vet clinic in the city AND the college (which is MORE expensive than the clinics) and it will cost $80+ dollars just to walk in the door. X-rays start at $150, and they don't know what else it will cost because it will depend on what x-rays, bloodwork, meds, treatment, blah blah blah is done.

Oh yeah. It has to be paid IN FULL at the time of service.

*sigh*
OMFG I am so sorry!! I will tell you moons ago I purchased an old english mastiff and he kept losing weight and he had worms... the freakin vet charged me over $1,000 in cash and no negogiating for WORMS... that to me was CRAZY!! I hope you can figure out something...sending lots of hugs!!

Happy Halloween! It is my 7th anniversary today and DH is working all day Sadwalk We do have plans set for Tuesday though...out to dinner then we are going to get semi-matching Tattoos in the form of a cartoon version of us on our wedding day dressed as Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstien. I am excited!

I totally missed it too because all the signing up took place over my birthday week. We can exchange un-secretily if you would like.

It does, but all that mattered to me was that no supervisor approval was need over $5

Teehee Fancy ladies.
Oh, no! That is horrible, hope the puppy feels better.
Awww I am so sorry you missed out on the SS... sometimes it is so difficult being online and being virtual as we can't tell if all of our buddies are around... hope you have an AWESOME anniversary!! How is your chihuahua that you got? The tattoos sound amazing... you are gonna have to show us pics!! HUGS!!

No Kidding - Normally, if we hear any they sound like they are far enough outside our own neighborhood to lull ourselves into a false sense of security. This is the first time it sounded like it was within a block of us. EEK! Told our seven year old it was firecrackers but packed up and went inside quickly.

I'm hoping we can get in to a regular vet tomorrow and see if it's cheaper instead of the emergency care. We'll see. Otherwise, not sure what we'll do. My MIL said it cost them over 2K when their dog got hit. There's NO WAY we can pay that much money to get the dog seen. She seems to be okayish - limping (confined to the tiny kitchen), but not whining/crying or anything. She lets me feel her leg and paw - she licks my hand when I feel it, but she doesn't yank away or yelp.

DH is watching the new AMC series - the walking dead. Cold I am getting to be such a baby in my old age...

Awww I am so sorry... normally emergency care is wayyyyyyyy more expensive... I found a really reasonable vet that will come right out to the house...if she had any broken limbs normally she would yelp and act crazy if you touched it... sending you Grouphug

Good evening everyone Wave

Been a crazy busy weekend.. We had plans both nights and weren't sure if any kids would come by on either night (seems as if some areas around here went trick or treating on Saturday instead).. SO, DH just left a big bowl of candy on the porch. Last night not a piece was missing, but tonight when we came home there were several things gone.. I am surprised they didn't empty the bowl Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) We headed out to a church festival and never really saw anyone out on the streets.

Was a little sad to let my 10/31 coupons expire. I had a whole envelope of swiffer bogos that I never used one of. Only managed to us 4 of the butterfinger as well.. I was sad, but I tell you the truth, I just let them expire cause it isn't worth the stress of trying to shop and use them up.

I did manage to find a stack of the free papers around here and actually scored about 10 or 12 p&g inserts which is rare for me.. we didn't get the gain dishwashing coupons here Frown

Hope everyone had a wonderful day.. I am off to bed!

Thanks. Smilie I'm hoping it's more reasonable tomorrow. Otherwise, not sure what to do. I kind of figured if it was really broken she'd be acting worse, but we'll see. I'm hoping it's more like she's bruised up and whatnot.

sounds like you were busy! You need to come here... my T takes expireds til they beep expired. Big Grin Big Grin I heart my ST!!

So... has anyone seen/figured out some decent deals with the new TQs? Wondering if I should go buy some coups...

ETA:

*sigh* I was going to order q's... but I decided I just can't. DH gave me $40 and said to spend it on myself... (it was some "extra" from his last pay) I almost spent it on coupons! I need clothes though... I need to focus! I guess that's when you know you are addicted to deals, eh?

Hmm... I have a neighbor that wants me to teach his 4 y.o. daughter English. He just brought his wife and kids over from India about a month ago and he wants to prep her for kindergarten next year. Where would you start?? He said she knows ABC's & #s and some poems.
