Flug - have you tried Gas-X maybe?? That stuff works wonders for me when I have the tummyache kind of gas. Sometimes I will get this feeling like my whole stomach/intestinal tract is filled with air and it is painful....take some of that and gone within 30 minutes. Target has a $3 q out. Some of the chewable varieties were around $4ish I think.
Quote from flugette :

And thanks for the info on the Gas-X. Will get a bottle just to have on hand. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, its not fun. shake head
i second keeping gas-x on hand. it really works and such a relief laugh out loud! of course this last time i think i got gas-x free from cvs and it expired w/o me ever opening it. so now i have to restock to have it on hand just in case.....

I *think* it's the same active ingredient as what is in infants' mylicon drops or whatever they are called?? I don't have to use it very often but it's a lifesaver.

Was gone two hours walking around at various stores, mainly the mall, still have way too much energy LMAO

bunnies, yes, you are a sweety too.

Probably shouldn't be saying "sweet" too much in here. Might get voted off the island.

I haven't had a chance to try any of the coupons but grabbed a stack of the books at one store yesterday.
I mailed out the mp3 player yesterday. Sorry it has taken so long. If it hasn't arrived in a few days, let me know. I have the tracking info. nod

I feel so lost... no clue on deals this week!! I so gotta do research, but figured I'd check in real quick. My little pupil is coming in about 15 minutes, so I"m trying to take a breath before we start. *laugh*

Meeshe - was it you that was talking about your children learning English? If it was, or the person who mentioned it is still peeking in here, were there songs or games that were particularly helpful to them? Is there a good way to get the kids to really interact and talk to each other? They play kind of next to each other, and my toddler is extremely talkative, so I don't know if it's a bit of a shyness thing or what. She seems to understand a lot of English - it's just hard to get her to talk it much. Maybe more encouragement? Trying to figure out how to motivate her best, I guess...

Well, better run and finish prepping. I hope I can get back to do some research tonight. If anyone finds a stellar deal (i.e. freebie - especially food) - could you pretty please send me a note? Thank you!!!

hug
Wave it was me...About songs I started with twinkle twinkle and pat a cake, itsy bitsy spider...They love doing the songs when there are more actions involved...they hate the ABC song...

I think reading books helps a lot...I am noticing my kids will pick up a book these days, go in a corner, look at pictures and make up a story....

Another thing I liked was their teacher sent home some picture puzzles..They are just a puzzle with 3 pictures drawn that they put in the right order..example, bear looking at a tree, bear climbing the tree, bear eating fruits...I show them the picture and ask them simple questions, what is the bear doing, what is it looking at...

abt the speaking part - Our teacher said the kids are talking to them and other kids in English but they never speak to us in English...DD has her moments when she wants to talk only in English but those are rare...So give the girl some time and she will start talking...maybe a few words, then sentences...

Does she have an English vocabulary else you might wanna do flash cards

Does anyone get extremely sweet cravings when it is that time of the month...Like really sweet...

I bought that stuff once and thought it was pretty gross even when it wasn't spoiled. vomit
I took back the dip today (just the receipt, not the packaging of rotten fish dip vomit) and they apologized profusely and returned my money and gave me 2 $3 we're sorry Qs. They took the rest off the shelf. I'm now sick at the mere thought of my beloved spinach artichoke dip. Sadwalk I'll stick to Publix for my yummies from now on...

Just popping in to say that I think they should put up a scotch tape TQ this winter. I need one.

I have so much scotch tape, I could wrap out entire house with it....Those multipacks that go 90% off after Christmas? drawers FULL of them. DD uses it to attach pics to the fridge since it's stainless and magnets don't work Doh

There was a coupon out last year, I think (?) for Scotch tape dispensers. I have so many of the little ones that attach to your wrist that I seriously could build a house with them all!

It's so funny to see everyone talk about what they would do if they won the lottery. My husband asked what kind of house I would want, and I said as long as it has a completely shelved room for my stockpile, I really don't care about the rest!

One of the reasons we bought the house we did last year when we moved. I have pics of my 'mini Target' on my fb page.

Oh man...what I wouldn't give to have a stockpile room!!

I bought a chest freezer this year before deer hunting, and jinxed my hubby in the process...he hasn't seen a deer yet this year. Frown Guess I'll have to fill it with TGIF's instead, as soon as I find the TQ!
