DH made $60 at the flea market. He would've made more w/overtime at work. *sigh*

Going shopping soon. Wish me extreme good fortune. Gonna try to hit up Kroger a few times. Not sure if I'll make it to Target. Sadwalk

I'm pissed. I willfully admit it.

Is pumpkin a vegetable or a fruit? The seneca site (who makes Libby's) doesn't list pumpkin at all. I was trying to use up some RR at wags, but because my $1/2 Libby fruit Q beeped, no one will take it. (granted, 99¢ a can is a good price for pumpkin). Wags thread said that the Libby's vegetable Q doesn't work either.

At Publix it's stocked with the fruit, I bought it at Publix for $1.79 with these Qs on Monday, but maybe I'm spoiled because nothing beeps at Publix.

Hugs back at ya.

Oooh... good idea! Everything is packaged individually inside each TGIF bag. Since it's just pliable plastic bagging, I could put a hold in the outside bag and squeeze out any extra air. That way I could still have the outside bag with all the directions, and a little more space! Thanks!
I swear to goodness, if I have to eat one more thing of Fridays I am going to puke. OK now that I have that out of my system...

I am grateful for my Fridays (even if we have eaten those stinking things for the last 5 days).

I'm sorry the flea market wasn't so great.

Quote from flugette :
Plus, it was the first time for this flea market, and they are still figuring out promoting it and all that stuff. I would say for the first time, it went well. Worth it for me, even if I wished I had made a little more.

OK, time to get off here and keep shopping. Big Grin
If ya want I can come over there and help the competition right out of town! I'd be there next there to booth, saying really, really loudly..OMG was that a roach that just came out of your Glade?!

Without looking it up to be sure -- I'm pretty sure it's a vegetable. Isn't it part of the squash family?

Couple weeks ago when I had to travel for doctor's appointments, I passed farm that was giving away all the pumpkins you wanted. They were sitting there with a big "Free" sign. I actually debated grabbing a few but decided that buying a can is just too easy.

I told my AM that pumpkin is a fruit. He tried to scan the Libby's fruit coupons and of course they beeped. He said he thought it was a vegetable. I told him if it has seeds it is a fruit. I had the vegetable coupons too and he tried them. Beeped.

He finally entered the fruit ones manually. Sorry you had a hard time.

Another bummer today. I was asked very nicely not to recycle bin dive at the news courier, because of insurance liability (if I fell off my step stool and got hurt on their property). I normally sort thru the papers while I'm there, so I only end up taking the inserts that I want. I left as they requested, but went back to get full papers, drove off to a quiet location to go thru them, and then dumped everything but the inserts I wanted back in their dumpster. I don't get enough inserts from the paper guy (usually 10) to make it worth the drive 28 miles one way on Sundays IF I don't get to recycle bin dive at the news courier, where their paper guys dump their papers. I don't know what I'm gonna do. This is the BEST place in 3 counties to dive, as all the papers are stacked together for the same date, which makes easy pickings.

It also appears that sometimes they get the red plum, most the time they don't. Last week was a didn't get it week.

That stinks.

The local weekly paper used to let me have a few inserts, from old papers (like 3 weeks prior) for free but I was chastised like a child recently and told that "someone" was selling inserts that they got from THIS paper. Blah blah contract with company that provides coupons and they could lose their contract if people get the inserts for free.

This paper doesn't have enough of a consistent weekly publication number for anyone to reliably sell coupons on eBay so I think it's a bunch of bull. They want to squeeze every nickel they can (well, quarter). It's not a huge deal to me but at least they could be honest. And, they could make sure every paper has inserts. Makes me mad to buy 30 papers and find that every 4th paper has no coupons. shake head

Oh, believe me they questioned why I was there, wanted to know if I sold Qs, etc. I've never sold Qs. Most of my Qs are cut for the SIL and her family. . . unfortunately, they couldn't make ends meet if they didn't coupon right now. I've helped out every way that they will let me. I paid for the 2 years of private high school for one of them (as their grandparents, who promised to pay for their schooling, backed out of paying, because the grandparents decided they had to buy a new Cadillac Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)) I bought a used Corolla (I wasn't fixing to let her go 400 miles from home in a 92 Paseo) for the 2nd niece that plays BB in college on the payment plan (them paying me back), but things aways come up (this isn't stuff most of ya'll don't know about... sick kids, washer breaks, leaking plumbing, the list goes on and on). The rest I either use myself, trade on SD, RAOK for others or use them to help others (Christmas Charity donations, Can-A-Thon, Toys for Tots, Adopt a Senior, etc).

Different topic. How do you donate baby food? There is a decent deal right now at Publix, but they all come in glass jars, and none of the charities (even the food bank) will take food in glass jars.

hug for being such a sweet person, and doing so much to help them out.

I don't sell coupons either, and RAOK more than I trade. I was peeved to be accused of selling coupons and to be basically in stealing money from them.
eta I bought 30 of this week's edition of the local paper, not a single one had the SS insert. Get a free one delivered to the house and it has the SS. Unbelievable.

The News Courier is so weird that last week, had all three inserts (SS, RP, P&G). This week, SS only. What happened to the RP Dontknow

The Redstone Rocket normally has the SS in it, but usually 3 weeks late. The late receptionist (second shift) in our building works in the mail room for first part of the day, so she's been bringing bundles to our building of the Rocket, so she's been saving me and my trainee's husband copies when folks want to just throw the Qs away. I've been buying snacks for her kids (mentos gum, tic tacs, etc) to thank her for her kindness, as she doesn't believe in coupons (her words).

I used to live in King George... your local paper is a Stafford paper or the Fredericksburg paper or something else?

The weekly paper is the Stafford Sun. On Sundays I usually get one copy each of the WA Post and the Fredericksburg paper. I just don't get people that think they are too good for couponing. Wink

Do you have a Ronald McDonald House in your town? They'll take the baby food.

Did a little over $500 at our GS today and I had very little stock. I haven't been shopping much at all since JMS bit the dust. Of course with the new update that will all change. Evil It was by far the best sale we've had and the first time we've done it this late. Sold every single one of those .97 Colgate toothbrushes for $1 each. I almost felt guilty about it. Almost. Whee
