hi all! Wave

hope you all have a good night!

At our store, I only tried an AMEX card once and the activation fee was $5. I declined and just ended up with a regular Target card. Never tried the visa...
visa has a 5.95 activation fee. around this time of year (in a few weeks) you'll start to see cat deals for gcs at most grocery stores and drugstores... in my experience that's the best time to buy these amex/visa cards because at the very least the cat q pays for the activation...

Dear confused booby Twatwaffle,
No, you didn't miss any drama. Seriously, do you really think I am stupid enough to ask a question like that over THERE? But, I do have to whine. Nobody has actually answered my question...
Sincerely,
The Geezer who still doesn't know where to find TGIF peelies. (other than possibly on the TGIF appetizers)
Dear Searching Geezer,

Didn't realize you were seriously asking about the peelies. And even if I had, I wouldn't be able to help you there cos I didn't do the TGIF deal and don't plan on it. But would it help to say (i'm a twatwaffle, i can't help it) since they're peelies, you'll likely find them on the products and in small type on the edge of the peelie it will say "peel here" Stick Out Tongue laugh out loud

It was not a stye, and it was NOT better this morning. Back to the doctor. Sister had to drive me. I am so sensitive to light it's not even funny. I'm now on two different types of eyedrops that he's hoping will improve the situation by morning. If not, I go back and he will refer me to a specialist, or a surgeon. It could be something as serious as cellulitis, in which case I'll be in the hospital soon. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed that it's better. Getgreen, thanks for all your stye info, regardless. And rachael, thank you for your well wishes.

Getgreen, you asked about the Shark. I have the Shark steam mop and love it. The reviews were mixed on it, as some said it broke easily. As a result I have never "pushed" too hard on mine and have been very careful with it. Therefore, it has worked very nicely for me. I believe the regular T price is $89.

i hope you feel super better super soon. rest that eye. sending BIG prayers for you tonight. hug

thanks so much for the steam mop info. you are such a darling for typing that even as your eye hurts and the light hurts.

so i've concluded when this year is over i'll have lots of cleaning solutions (for everything from teeth to tiles). and quite a few new cleaning tools and accessories. i will also have a fully stocked pantry with lots of dry goods to bake, whip, fry and saute. so, that only leaves one thing... is there a coupon available for househelp? or maybe even just a coupon for more time? i'd like both please.

I hope it heals quickly! hug

My oldest dd has a chalazion that quickly progressed through cellulitis and from her rubbing constant rubbing, developed a MRSA infection on top of that. She was in isolation for a week, on IV and oral antibiotics. At the start of her hospital journey, it looked like a deep rosy pink softball on her eyelid. Poor thing.

Rach, lots of good luck wishes for tomorrow!

I have been going to a cashier that is the roommate of my close friend's daughter. She is 18 and started working at Target in August. She has always been a great jedi but today, she kinda freaked out because I saved over 150 and spent 50. She said she was going to get in trouble because they closely look at all transactions where people save over 150 and then reprimand the cashier. Made me feel kinda bad. Evil But seriously, is that true?
I've never heard of that before. It may be a newish policy started by that particular store by a coupon hating crew - or they've had a lot of significant/obvious fraud with coupons recently. You could try keeping your runs small or contact corp and ask if it's their policy to harass couponers and cashiers... of course, that may open yet another can of worms, but not sure how else you may want to handle it. I certainly wouldn't like it if someone was doing that to me and threatening cashier jobs over something like that. It's really not hard to save that much when you buy a lot at one time.

You may want to spread the luv a bit too. Use other cashiers.

Whee woot Can't wait to hear!!! Don't stay away too long - we need some pics!!

In other news... there's problems with DH's grandmother's kidneys and she is to go on dialysis by the end of the week. DH's mother and aunt are terrified that grandmother will not make it through dialysis - they say it's hard on the heart. I must admit, I don't know much at all about dialysis so it is hard for me to know how difficult it really will be for Grandma with her heart problems. Either way, she's still in a catch 22 because if they fix the kidney issues, it affects the heart and if they fix the heart issues, it affects the kidneys.

It is raining. I can't sleep, but I'm tired. I think I'll make some cammomile tea. I wish we had a porch with a little roof - of course, it's probably too cold right now, but the idea is romantic, isn't it?? DH is sleeping. Sadwalk He worked a 13 hour day today. I missed him a lot, and he's exhausted.

I think baby is coming down with something. She looks waxy pale to me and has slept A LOT today. I don't want to do anything tomorrow. Is that bad? I'm already wanting to be lazy before the day even begins... I do need to shop though - so I'll be doing a little bit of that tomorrow evening.

Good news today too. Remember my outrageous library fine from when I got books out before the baby was born, then promptly forgot we had them so I ended up with like $30ish in fines because we had soooo many that were quite overdue??? Well, tomorrow only, the library is doing a canned food collection and they will forgive $5 in fines for every canned item you bring in. This is awesome because I got a bunch of free soup at Kroger last week! God is very gracious and has provided us a way to pay this fine. I can't believe how much I fret over these things!

Man, I hope not, especially after today. I was somewhere around $377 and by the time I was done, I wrote the check for $44. The cashier was enjoying watching it go down, another cashier was lurking around giggling and watching and a lady behind me refused to go check out somewhere else cuz she wanted to see how low it would go. I felt a little bit like a circus side show.

The most of any one TQ I had was 6 Prevacid, 5 Bakery, 4 Produce, 4 Women's PJs, 3 TGIFs, and misc others. I had a whole lotta MQ.

Good Lord people, I think I can give the whole state an Olay bath and still have some left.

Dear Confused (but always unhelpful) booby twatwaffle,
You are a smartass booby twatwaffle. The Geezer managed. Apparently 5 is my magic TGIF number. I found 5 at Target so I did the deal with 6. $2 for 6 is ok with me. Free is better, but $2 is doable. Then, I found 10 more between two other grocery stores that I have stashed back for my next trip.
Sincerely,
A Geezer with 6 TGIFs in her freezer

Bronc - sure hope the meds work. You do realize you are required to post here before being admitted to a hospital, don't you? Yeah, it's part of the pre-approval process -- otherwise your insurance won't pay.
