Jamie, that sounds about right. Hcg should double about every 48 hours for the first four weeks, then it gets a bit more spread out. Ank - hug I hope you feel better quickly.

Haha! It all started when I got the box set of Twilight books for Christmas last year. I didn't have much interest, but I just had to see if I could get in to them. So many people, of all ages, were just raving about them. Well it didn't take long and I was reading non stop and watching the movies. It's kind of Ariel's fault too, she was always talking about them. LMAO

After I read Twilight, I read the entire Sookie Stackhouse Series, and that was a fun one. I had already seen Tru Blood, so those books were easy to get into. Now I'm almost done with the teen series "House of Night". The books are such easy reading, I really enjoy them. I do read other novels that are meant for adults too now! Right now I'm also reading "Never Let Me Go", figured I'd read the book before seeing the movie.

I can't wait until Eclipse comes out on Blu-ray in a few weeks, since I didn't bother going to the theater to see it.

Speaking of Kohl's and the $5 coupons, one could go crazy in the holiday home area. So many little decorations, picture frames, candles, etc. can be nice gifts for free or really cheap. Tonight is night owl discounts and tomorrow is early bird, until 1pm I think.

I have been thinking of reading/watching Twilight but never got around to it..Maybe this Xmas..So should I read the books first or watch the movies?

Definitely READ the Twilight books first! Just seeing the movies won't give you enough of a connection with the characters. You must read the books! Oh, and if anyone was wondering about the Stieg Larsson series, those books are excellent! Then are long and detailed but such a good story. Its the set with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest. I've seen the first 2 movies, and waiting for the last one now. These movies also would rate 2nd when compared with the books.

Keeping my fingers crossed, but maybe the GC glitch is fixed now. I did not need to pad my transaction this morning. Yeah.

Good luck with that. Have you noticed that they are very hard to find now? I don't think Wal-Mart or Target have carried them for years. Now, if you want to talk really nice... I saw some beautiful ones online -- but we are talking several thousand dollars.

GT - at least redoing it all means more exercise woot Wink Just need some more snow on the ground to block that wind LMAO
You do have a point! Actually, as much as I hate snow, I was thinking today that after I get this done, it would be nice if we got a few inches of snow to cover the drop cords and to clean up the the snow that's out there that I got all yucky. 3 - 4 inches should do nicely. Then it can stop.

you can buy those styrofoam cones at Walmart and craft supply stores. Just paint it orange! VOILA! Beak Big Grin you could even saw it in half lengthwise and prop it open with toothpicks/bamboo skewers for an open mouth penguin like he's bitching about the cold weather Dontknow
You made me laugh out loud.

Quick question....GT or anyone else.......just found out today that at least one of the dogs has fleas, gonna treat them both as they share a kennel.......anyway, I need Frontline or flea collars or something. Probably Frontline? Best deal on this? Ugh.
I don't use that stuff. If they have fleas you need to kill them. Buy the dip. It works and it works instantly. It's under $10 at Wal-Mart. You mix it and then dip the whole dog. This chihuahua had fleas when I got her -- I mixed 1/2 gal. in a hospital wash basin, parked her little butt in there and used a rag to soak her down. For a big dog, I put the plug in the tub, mix a whole gallon and do the same thing. You don't rinse them. I just use my hands to squeeze it out of them and then towel dry. They don't feel or smell weird when they dry.

Most of the stuff is lit up. I still have to do something about the sail boat. I think I have a plan but it involves rebar and I don't have any -- and I don't want to go get any. One penguin didn't light so I brought him in to figure out why. The blimp on a platform is built, anchored, and plugged in. Just a few more odds and ends, more likely tomorrow than today.

Thanks gt, I had to make a quick decision so I got this [amazon.com] stuff @ Amazon because I had GC's for there, it had good reviews, and I have free Prime so for a nominal fee I can get it tomorrow. Already ordered but if that doesn't work I'll try your method. Didn't know they made such a thing - although I'd probably have to have dh do it since my skin is so sensitive to random things. I don't have time for this in the next week; I have Black Friday planning and shopping to do Roll

Didn't feel like shelling out the $$$ right away for the other once I saw the prices OMG

Yep, we're pretty happy. Its kind of a bummer, because his company let his TS-SCI clearance expire just this past May. And then they found out in June that this new contract required just the secret clearance. grrrrrrrr... Oh well, at least its done with for now. In about 18 months, he can try for the polygraph again, and I hope he does. That way he can get in with a family member at a ... um ... agency that cannot be disclosed. laugh out loud Which would be awesome.

Oh my word, that would make my poor aching head just about the happiest thing EVER!! I feel like such a dunce doing my runs, because keeping track of the overage, the gift card padding, the gift card deals, ugh, ALL of it just makes my head hurt! I've kind of just been flying blind, to be honest. So to cross one of those headaches off, that'd just be the awesomest ever.

So ... I went to our Target's Starbucks to get the BOGO holiday drinks. The barista tells me that you have to have a postcard (all Gold members got it). Um, nope, that's not what the advertising said. She encouraged me to call Starbucks because of the false advertising. So ... I get home and immediately call Starbucks to find out what the deal is. The CS rep says no, no physical coupon is required, its for all customers, but perhaps its only in actual Starbucks stores. He pulls up ALL the info about the promo, reads through all of it, and discovers that no, its supposed to be valid at all licensed stores, which means every Target store should be participating. He is sending me free drink coupons, which is all fine and well, but what about this Starbucks? He says he'll start the ball rolling to inform the store, but that it probably won't be done until after the promo is over. Um, what good is that??

So ... I get off the phone with him, and call the Starbucks at this Target. The barista answers, and I let her know that I just spoke with Starbucks CS and her store IS supposed to be participating. She then asked me for all the details of the promo - they had not received ANY information about it at all. Faint She thanked me and they will now be participating. Oh my gracious. Why does a customer have to be the one to set people straight???

Hey quick question for all you young ladies that have babies.. My DD is nursing her little boy and a couple days ago she called and said that one of her boobs is hurting alot to the point where she is crying and to even let the baby try and nurse is intolerable..

It is rock hard she said. It's been way to long for me to remember any of that stuff.. I told her to put a warn cloth over it and to see if that would help and told her to go to the doctor. Her doctor is out of town until next week and she doesn't want to go to a walk in clinic.

I talked to her this morning and it's still the same - another friend told her it could be a milk blister (never heard of such a thing)..

Any suggestions on what it could be or what to do to make it not so sore. I know I could look it up on the net, but thought maybe one of you had this happen and would know what to do..

Thanks for any help.. hug

Its possible she has an inflamed milk duct, or even mastitis. As long as she doesn't have a fever herself, if I recall correctly, the best thing is just to nurse through it. A warm cloth will definitely help her feel better. I got those off and on when nursing my three little ones. I would say if it lasts more than a couple days, she should probably get it checked out, but otherwise, just keep nursing.

And thanks!! hug
