Okay, my parents (mid 60s) are looking for a GPS for Christmas. I have no idea what brands are best and easiest to use. Help! Don't want to have to get it on door buster deal.

Some requirements:
Priced under $200.
Easy to use.
Free updates.
Larger screen.

Thanks for the help!!!

We have a Garmin from Black Friday a few years back. It will cost more to update the maps than what we paid for it. DH won a TomTom at church, updates are free. Neither of the models we have announce the street name, which would be very helpful.

OK, I really have to get moving here, but I'm gonna post a coupla pics my friend took over the weekend. She always does such a great job with my kiddos, and this is no exception. Mind you, these haven't been cleaned up or anything, just the rough draft, but still pretty amazing. Big Grin

The Garmin in the T Black Friday ad is a nice one. Buy it now for $319 ( yeah I know, at little much oop upfront), go to customer service to do a missed coupon for $30 off. Friday, price adjust for the $159 price. Net cost- $129.

I have one almost identical to the TomTom that will be $79 on Friday. It's a nice one too but the Garmin has a bigger screen.

Here's a little quick one you might like:

Petite Cheesecakes
Don't take my card away either. I didn't get out of the house.

These cheesecakes are also good if you take oreos, twist off the top and put the cookie down in the muffin cup. Then, chop up the cookie (cream and all) and fold into your batter. Spoon into the cups, crush up a couple more and sprinkle on top if you want... Voila! Easy Oreo Cheesecake.

You could also add some pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices to your batter and use ginger snaps for the "crust". Easy pumpkin mini-cheesecake.

That's the only thing I could figure out that it was. People were snippy and bitchy and generally annoying...

after owning both and having a relative in thier 60's who has used both, the Garmin is 10x more user friendly to all of us. The Tom Tom interface is so freakin' complicated that I want to chuck it out the window. Even though the map updates cost $$ on the Garmin, the ease of use was so much better. My stupid Tom Tom just sits on my windshield mocking me since I never even turn it on Annoyed

Might want to factor purchasing the lifetime updates into the decision. It's $68 on Amazon right now. I saw a Garmin with lifetime updates for $119 -- Newegg, maybe. Can't remember where. I love my Garmin.

Edit: Check this from Hot Deals.
