Yeah, I think most folks have said that the leapfrog ones never scan. *shrug* I sooooo wish I could find that dumb extra toothbrush coupon. I'm certain I have at least 1 more! I am going to give the one I did get to my hubby for christmas - he's a toothbrushing fiend and will absolutely LOVE it. It'll be $2.xx after the rebate! Sheesh - can't beat that!

*snip*

I think the baby is sick. Frown She is not happy at all and sounds really hoarse. She just whines and whines right now. My arms feel like they will fall off!
Sorry bout the baby. Hope she is better soon.

Do you think the rebate will be a problem since it shows a MQ used?

Could someone PM me the details on which toothbrush you are buying with the $25 MQ? I think I know the type of deal this is, but haven't checked in store yet.

I never come into this thread, so sorry if I'm not following any sort of etiquette, lol.

I was wondering has anyone frozen the Market Pantry french bread or demi loaves from Target?

If so, what was your experience with it?

I have a huge freezer (now full of TGIF and OreIda,lol) and want to be smart and start stocking it with "real" food a bit more. I can pick up the demi loaves for .10-.20 apiece AC.

One more question, the new bakery Q says it's for over $1 purchases, does it beep if the item is less than $1? One store I went to had the demis at $1.17 and the other at .99. I didn't try to buy any at .99 because I didn't want to deal with any potential hassles at that point in time.

TIA!!

The only toys I got were a few leapfrog toys with the $10 MQ sjm made a 3pp. They didn't scan, but printed LF have never scanned for me, and when the cashier entered the coupon numbers it added $10 to my total! lol I told him I would do missed coupons at CS and they did the missed coupons with no problems. I got two of the sonic care, I have four now & no more coupons, love that the $25 MQ does not need a override or anything, I wish I had a few more of those MQs too. All four of those are gifts and I would like to get a sonic care for the kids too. But they do pretty good with the Oral B $12.98 ones. People were kinda looking at me weird that I was getting TGIF when the line was such a long wait, if they only knew! I could care less if they ended up melted, but they didn't.

I hate being cold, I am so glad we do not have that tradition! I didn't even leave until 10:30 am. I thought I wanted the $5 jammies at Target and there were still some left, I went with the $10 set, the others are just to thin. I am glad you are back home and warm, I don't think I could have stayed out there for anything. I would be the one in the car with the heaters blasting.

I was going to try a toy coupon to see if it beeped but it was so crowded in that area and I didn't have a game plan for toys so I just grabbed a few leapfrogs and left.
I just used the $5/2 Tag or Tag Jr MFQ at Toys R Us and it scanned with zero drama, no waving over scanner, no voodoo whispered, nothing. I was shocked. I was expecting to have to wage holy war just to get my 2 coupons accepted, and almost had an adrenaline letdown when they went through so easily. So ... point is that it must be that Target's scanners are not as good as Toys R Us. Because I have used those coupons at Target, and they have NOT scanned. And Nikayla, my guess is the cashier did not put "5" as the first number. One of my cashiers did that, and it added instead of subtracted. He voided it, and then started with "5" and it subtracted the right amount.

Speaking of Toys R Us, I was able to get 4 Tag Jr books for a total of $22. Pretty sweet in my book, and they have some different books than Target. My little one is going to have a pretty great Christmas. Big Grin

So, how many of you east coasters just made it in to Target??? Smilie I'm heading to bed. Need to be to Target a little before 10 to see if I can convince them to let me PA (or return/rebuy) a couple of doorbusters that I bought last night. Can't wait to hear all the shenanigans!! LMAO
I did, I made it to work at 3:15, we had 575 people outside in line already! We are a small Target in a small town! By the time they opened the doors, it was over 700 people Jawdrop It all was very organized and nice though. The longest wait during our busiest time was about 20 mins for check-out, but mostly we were standing at the end of our registers trying to get people to come to our lanes. I did get two people signed up for red cards, one was on a $15 order (which makes LODs VERY happy!). I would have had 3 more, but people didn't have checks with them for a check card.

I didn't make it to TRU on Thur night. I was too beat, only getting 4 hours total (not continuous, by any means) the previous two nights. People were telling me that if I had gone when I was going to (around 9p), I would have been late for work. It was a mad-house. I decided sleep was more important than saving $10 on a helmet, since the other things I wanted I already ordered online from Best Buy w/ free store pick-up.

I haven't done any shopping today. I already have most everything, and all the "good" stuff was already gone before I had break at 5:30am.

Happy Birthday TN!!!!! hug

We cooked it Alton Brown style this year and will never cook it another way. It freakin' rocked!!! everyone ate so much turkey, we completely bypassed dessert for the first time EVER Faint

Happy Belated Birthday TN!

We always cook our turkey Alton Brown style, it's really good, and cooks pretty fast. But, this year, my DH decided that it would be "even better" if I brined it a day early. So, Tue night, even though we had no water, because a water main in town broke, I used my Deer Park bottled water and brined the turkey.

Guess what?! Just like I told him, it was salty. It was still edible, but a little more salty than I would have liked. Men, they just don't listen! After all the lack of sleep, not getting home on Thur until after 4p to start making Thanksgiving Dinner, and my DH not eating in a few hours (which makes him very grumpy), I was about to kill my DH while I was getting the turkey ready. He kept trying to "help" me, which meant he was getting in the way, constantly questioning what I was doing, and just trying to but-in in general. Really annoying!

I bought 3 different ones. The doormat that is dark green with a poinsettia and says "Joy" at the bottom (12.99), and the one each of the green reindeer mat and red w/ Santa mat (these are 4.99).

I have lots of the 4.99 mats. Evillaugh
Do these $4.99 mats make any sort of beeping noise? Do they still work? I haven't head in a awhile. I may have to check that out tomorrow. Big Grin

I got the MOST AWESOME deal on Wed!! I was doing a few last min. shopping deals, and walked by the electronics clearance endcap, and saw a DSi XL Blue sitting there as a "repackage" for $119! I grabbed it, found our electronics guy, and asked why it was a "repackage". He said that one of the new people didn't know that they weren't supposed to open it for customers to look at, so they had to repackage it! After TM discounts, was a little over $100! I was not even planning on getting my DS one, I already got my DD on on Mon. on the Amazon lightning deals for $139.99, so I guess both kids are getting one. They both had originally asked for them anyways, but DS changed to an electric scooter at the last min. woot

I am still so tired! I have worked Mon-Wed, cooked Thur, and worked today, and Sat-Tue. I did take a 3 hour nap today, but remember, I unload and stock. My job is constant walking fast, lifting heavy boxes, ect.. It's like a 6 hour workout everyday! But, I much prefer it to cashiering. My knees were SO swollen by the time I left today from standing in 1 spot constantly!

Am I the only one who is biting her nails, waiting for the BF doorbuster clothes to start going on clearance? laugh out loud I won't pay the BF prices for them, but I most certainly will pay 75% off that!! Rofl2 Those hoodies with the fleece lining are pretty sweet looking, and my store tonight still had a whole lot in stock.

And yeah the rugs make a lot of sound in the cart but not when cushioned by sleepwear. Big Grin

Some idiots tore apart every pair of the kids' pjs so two poor employees were sorting through all the cardboard displays, trying to match up tops and bottoms, folding them and then trying to put a ribbon around it. Frown I was able to get 4 pairs of these but wanted more.

I did get rainchecks for some items. Someone posted in deals that their store said they could have r/c on items as long as it didn't say doorbuster. No go until I asked my cashier. Big Grin

I thought about that. Reading the form gives no indication of whether or not it will be an issue, and I definitely don't want to call. It does show the q under the item on the receipt, but there's plenty of other things right there too. I still paid $12.99 after the $25.00 q - so hopefully that makes it okay. Oh - the rebate form I have was in the paper with a $10 mq - which is what is now making me think that it *should* go through.

Of course, once I submit the rebate with the UPC, I can't return it if they refuse. I got it anyway since it is a decent price for a toothbrush that DH will love - though more than I would like to pay oop for it.

Baby just now fell asleep. I wish I could help her feel better.

I have not used the current bakery q, however, last time they put the "item at/over $1" restriction on it, it did beep. Some cashiers will push it through since all tq's have been beeping anyways. But... *shrug*

As for freezing, I wrap in saran wrap or foil, then put in plastic baggies. They freeze pretty well and my family has consumed them without complaining. I don't freeze bread that often though. It takes up a lot of room, and I'd rather stockpile things like meat or veggies - but that's just me! Plus, we are trying to be low carbers here. (well, everyone else is and I tend to sabotage the efforts Hide )

Wave Hi meanie friends!

I hit 3 Ts today. Didn't leave the house until 9 because I let DH sleep in. He started puking last night after we got home. Nice. Between his vomit and DS's constant cough I was close to a nervous breakdown. Luckily everyone woke up feeling better so I got to escape for a little while. What a Jedi-fest today was. Shenanigans all around and I don't think I bought 1 single toy! Whee

TN - Happy Birthday! I'm sorry that you didn't have anywhere to go for Thanksgiving. I'm also sorry that you're missing your dad. This was my first Thanksgiving since mine passed away and it sucked. hug

Hope everyone had a great black friday. I'm excited to see more of my new jedi friends working these seasonal hours. They are such a nice, friendly bunch. Teehee

Agreed, M2C, I am loving my new jedis--especially the ones with the name "New Team Member"

TN, Happy Birthday.

Does anyone care to clue me in on the Christmas mats? I am lost on that one.

Got a $10 off $100 CAT today. Was hoping to find some on the ground or in carts but didn't. Those are extra sweet!
