Since the coupon is under the item, circle the item with a sharpie so you don't notice the coupon. That's what I'd do, just in case.
so wednesday was nuts. had spent tues night into wednesday with mild food poisoning. so i was already feeling all icky wed morning. went out to run errands first thing in am, and while checking email on my phone saw a message from paypal. normally these are all scams and i'm very savvy about them. but this one was very, very, very, authentic and actually sent you to the paypal site, where you logged in securely. turned out it was a sophisticated phishing scam where they capture your password and credit card info when you log into paypal and type info.
i got suspicous when i got a few error messages on the paypal site. raced back home. talked to paypal for an hour. had to cancel all links to the paypal account, change passwords, blah blah. then had to call to cancel the cards that i had entered the numbers for. then had to call all the direct bill companies and cancel/change all that. then had to go to the bank to get a temporary debit card.
that was a whole 4 hour endeavour. then, getting ready to leave bags in hand, i fell down the stairs. hurt knee, ankle and shoulder. everything's all swollen and bruised. then got a $25 parking ticket. and had 2 nasty family arguments.
i sat in the car all by myself, knee bleeding and bruised, ankle throbbing, and bawled my eyes out. by now it was 1:30 pm. i had planned to get all my food shopping done in the AM, so i could start cooking. nope. whole wednesday morning went in this junk. i got home from shopping at 7:30 pm after braving lines and crowds at grocery stores. i was beat.
got a little cooking done and then i passed out on the couch with throbbing ankle and aching shoulder.
thursday was a marathon day of cooking, cleaning, cooking, cleaning, cooking, cleaning, cooking, cleaning... cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.
passed out on couch again at 2am, with my back and shoulder and ankle killing me after hours of standing in the kitchen. friday morning - more cleaning, fridge rearranging, then to the mall. came back home, and i passed out for a few hours again, only to wake up to do more housework and guests.
i am wiped out. not sleepy but just plain "i-need-a-bubblebath-and-a-big-cushioned-luxurious-hotel-bed" kind of tired.
so once sis checked out for me, we went around the store and found afew more things, plus of course asked darling salesperson for his help and told the manager how wondrous he was!
was a really good deal. got a pair of wool navy pinstripe dress pants for 29.75. two dresses/tunics that one can wear with leggings and boots 12 bucks each. couple of winter hats. a top. i was happy.
also managed to pick up stuff i had bought last week, only for half price this week and return on the rcpt. so i saved a lot, plus got some new basics that i desperately needed since none of my old stuff fits me right now!
if anyone here is interested in gap and feel bad they missed it. they have a coupon for 40% off everything in store for this weekend. there are lots of good things on the sale rack, including some great jeans.
that's when you need that knight in shining armor to cradle you in his arms and carry you to bed

macys... they have a 10/25 q and a 15%/10% shopping pass.
somethings you can apply the 10/25. somethings the shopping pass. we hadn't planned on going there, but went there spontaneously... tribe members liked some stuff. so we get to register, about to check out when i see this woman handing a 10/25 to a cashier and cashier trying to explain to her that the % off will save them more money and she has a % off q at the register.
word to the wise.. do your research and your printing before you go anywhere near a store that you may/may not enter. and don't count on your exhausted brain to remind you. although mine did. and i love my brain even more than usual for that.
eta: more amnesia.... AND i found a replacement for my prescriptives mascara that is no longer available because estee lauder shut down prescriptives. i ahve been hunting and hunting and hunting for months trying out different mascaras that don't look right, and/or irritate my eyes. and scraping the edges of my mascara tube. no more. i have mascara again.

how are you doing?

Went to TRU at about 4:50 yesterday afternoon to get in line. I was 3rd in line and DH 4th. It was about 30 degrees and we froze our asses off. It was insane by 7 PM. They had about 2 cops and tons of security. The line was all the way around the building. We were lucky and got everything we went for and then some. Then headed to walmart for midnight jammies. Got all of that and some Hot Hands, a Coleman heater, gloves, and hoodie, and left for Home Depot or the LG frontload cherry red washing machine. I was determined not to freeze anymore.
.
Greenie...I don't do pancakes for everyone else..that's your job. I'm supplying the griddle and batter. (See, I know how to delegate)
Secret Santa's...how are we all doing? When do we send out packages?

I was wondering has anyone frozen the Market Pantry french bread or demi loaves from Target?
If so, what was your experience with it?
I have a huge freezer (now full of TGIF and OreIda,lol) and want to be smart and start stocking it with "real" food a bit more. I can pick up the demi loaves for .10-.20 apiece AC.
One more question, the new bakery Q says it's for over $1 purchases, does it beep if the item is less than $1? One store I went to had the demis at $1.17 and the other at .99. I didn't try to buy any at .99 because I didn't want to deal with any potential hassles at that point in time.
TIA!!
I feel a little more refreshed this morning.
I am loving the $5 PetSmart coupon....they had some great deals yesterday and combined with that q I got a lot of stuff. Trying to get plenty of gifts for my SIL's cats (they're like kids to her since she hasn't been able to have a baby) this year.
My extended family sorted/boxed up our big donation for the local shelter last night --- here [animoto.com] is a short video my brother made. We figure it was $2000+ worth of stuff this year...for a very minimal price since my mom and I do most of the shopping with coupons
Have a good day everyone!! I am going to try to hit up Petsmart again today (q expires tomorrow) and maybe Walgreens while some of those deals are still good

Ah well... I need to figure out how to get a cheap laser printer.
You didn't miss anything. We all got canceled. Some genious from SD decided to call and ask Staples why they are offering it so cheap and can he get an fast delivery. Took about 12 hours then canceled.
Glad you got everything you wanted/needed. How are you feeling?
