I was so excited w/my T run tonight. Got DD a pair of church shoes that she desperately needed. Couldn't have done it without ya'll.
Drove out of town today to have some fun with targay.
After some great runs, Closetmaid and I are reorganizing the boys' room. It was more of an undertaking than I thought it would be.
I wonder if there will be decent q's put up tonight/tomorrow. Boy - sure would be nice to have a $5 on kids clothes TQ... and adult clothes for that matter. I need some skirts & blouses & it'd be nice to get the kids some matchy type outfits for christmas!
What do ya'll do for sore throats? I sound like I swallowed a frog and feel like I ate sandpaper.

do you have any ricola lozenges/throat drops at home? the ones that come in the yellow bag with the pictures of herbs all along the side? (not the sugar-free version, just the regular with sugar kind). i warm hot water till it is hotter than tea/coffee water, then pour a mug full and add 2 ricolas into the mug. stir with spoon till the ricolas are fully dissolved and water has cooled a little bit to be drinkable. then i drink that ricola tea.
a few cups a day. soothes the throat. eases the discomfort. helps with coughs too.
also, i boost my ester c and zinc intake at the first sign of a sore throat. had tonsilitis frequently as a kid (it was my nemesis; you know how every kid has their illness thing? mine was tonsilitis; and nausea at the drop of a hat

p.s. if you don't have ricola at home, do warm salt water throat rinses. basically warm water to tea temperature. fill a mug full and mix in salt till water tastes substantially salty. take a mouthful of that water, throw head back and gargle with it, so that water is low back in your throat. do that a few times a day. the salt helps disinfect, and the warm water reduces inflammation/irritation.

Right now, I have been building our clothes for winter from Kohls with the 5.00 coupons. My oldest DD needed a long sleeved plain white blouse for a concert next week in choir class. I didn't want to pay a ton for one.. Last night we found one for 8.99 and used the Kohls 5.00 coupon on it.
We managed to do 6 transactions between us. She got 2 different shirts for 3.99 each, and I grabbed a hoodie she wanted while she wasn't looking. Gonna be a CHristmas present. Got a few other gifts too for some others on the list

Also, I like to drink warm tea when mine hurts. My DH is our praise and worship pastor at church and his throat acts up much more than mine.. Another musician told him about an herbal tea, it is called throat coat I think.. We have found it at publix and target.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and BF shopping! We were in Pittsburgh and it only ended up taking 4.5 hrs to get there, instead of the 5.5 quoted by google maps!
BF shopping: only went to T. DH and I got there at 3:50 and there were probably, without exaggeration, 500+ waiting in line outside in freezing rain. We just stayed in the car until we saw the line moving and before we even got into the store, tons of people were already coming out with paid-for TVs. By the time we got in the store all the TVs were sold...I hadn't been very optimistic about getting one but I got the dual screen dvd player, tomtom, LOTR, camcorder and a bunch of other crap. DH got in line with our cart while I was scurrying around the store with a basket. Absolute mayhem. When we were almost to check out, I quickly went back to get a couple more C9 fleece tops for the boys and lo & behold what was sitting in a cart with no one around? The freaking 40" Westinghouse! I stood there for a minute to see if someone came back and then snatched it up! DH and I couldn't believe our luck. We had a super jedi cashier too. I found some of the expired $4 hasbro board games Qs in my binder and I said, too bad I couldn't use them on the $3.99. She told me that they were trained to take each and every Q that day and allowed me to use them all! I had over 20 left and was able to get all the games plus give some to another toy shopper. It was a fantastic BF. I think DH is hooked now.
