And this is the "FlexCare" model. They all pretty much look the same to me, and you can't even see the word "Flex" on the BOX (photo) unless you were really looking hard for it.

in other news... around 9pm-ish we lost our internet connection. and as luck would have it, just around that time, the router got wiped out, too.
lost the whole network, courtesy of some virus.
so, i wiped out the router, reinstalled firmware, reset to factory settings, recreated the whole network. nothing.
rinse. repeat. nothing.
powercycled cable modem. nothing.
rebooted computer multiple times. nothing.
called comcast twice, they said nope they were not having any issues.
okayyy. back to beginning.
so now, 4+ hours later, fed up, and seeing that the computer is clearly seeing the network connection to router, and the router appears to be correctly configured, i called comcast back. guess what? they're having a multi-state internet outage for the last 4+ hours.
... which means, i just wasted hours and hours and hours and hours reconfiguring the router and the network several times over.
... and it means i cannot test the router right now to see if I did in fact get it working again.
.. and it means i am writing to you guys while browsing off of someone else's wifi in the neighborhood... which is an unsecure connection, soooo, there's a whole bunch of stuff i cannot do, like send out emails or finish paying bills, or set up free trials or check my bank balance...
... or do any of the things i was planning on doing before going to bed oh so many hours ago.
... oh and tootsie, you know that mascara i was superduper excited about? yeah. not. opened box to use today. it is so heavily fragranced with this strong, powdery scent, one layer on my lashes and i went into pre-migraine mode within minutes. figured it will go away when i step out. nope. had to run to a bathroom and wash off all the makeup off my face just to get the mascara off. lovely.
so, i'm out 14 bucks and no mascara replacement. which product developer thought it was a good idea to have perfumed mascara and have it smell like cheap car air freshener?
so now my plea: whoever in the universe sent this time-wasting, totally-annoying, energy-depleting, bad luck run to me, can you please, please, please, please, please take it back. i am begging here. i think i've had enough fun for one weekend. and i need to get to T tomorrow. without falling or getting parking tickets or having qs refused. sigh.
got any extra bourbon? i'd like a vat.
