So... tips on getting bloodstains out? I tried Zout, but it only turned the stains a light brown. I did have the foresight to not dry the sweatshirt. I can't bleach it because it is printed.

You talked me into it. Amazon had a copy for 6.17 and free shipping. DH's job situation is so damn stressful, he is wearing down fast. I hate to complain about a job that's bringing us an income and benefits while people are losing their jobs, but my husband's health, etc. are suffering.....
i think this is the same effect. you don't just think about what you want, you write it down on paper so it has a stronger effect on you and your actions and you react better when opportunities arise....
tootsie, when i read the book i was stuck. i knew i wanted to make a career change but wasn't sure how i would do it, having just left grad school and such. bf and i had just broken up and i was all twisted within about that, and wanted us to have a friendship, at least. then i read the book, and wrote what i wanted, and for me it allowed me to let my cynical/fearful side twattle away in my head, while another side of me took a more cerebral approach: set small goals.
so just as slowt said, once i wrote down what i wanted in the big picture - new job in this field, i could break it down to:
need to take classes to figure out how. then i broke that down to, go meet so and so and ask about classes.
look into internships. etc.
well as it happened once i had written down the small steps, "coincidences" kept happening... and i would go to approach the first person and another person would come along and help and so forth. i look at it as the power of attraction coupled with having a clear sense of your intentions. as in, if you know what address you want to get to, or what office door you are looking for, it becomes much easier to navigate and get to that address and walk down the hallway and open that door. but if you just have a vague sense of "well, i just got to find a big office building in a large city" then you're not going to get anywhere fast.
so for me, the book was about clarifying my intentions and putting my needs/wants/hopes/desires into sharp focus. and looking at it that way also prevented me from giving the book an eyeroll and thinking it's all gag-worthy touch-feely stuff.

bloodstains.... use warm water, and liquid soap: liquid hand soap or even bodywash will work just fine. wet the area completely with HOT WATER, add soap and rub well onto it so that the soap lathers up over the area. then pick up an edge of the cloth on each side of the stain and rub together so you're basically rubbing the stained fabric together... keep doing that under running warm water. rinse, repeat with soap and rubbing, rinse and so forth until stain is out completely.
what is Zout? never heard of it.

p.s. nosebleeds are often due to a dry room from heating. i get those all the time if the room is too dry. i usually compensate by leaving a doublehung window open just about an inch, so it's not drafty but not all heater dry.
or run a humidifier (don't like the sauna feeling and makes the house feel hotter so I don't use em), or just put a couple of bowls of water under a nightstand/coffee table where you are sitting and replenish each day.
