Advise needed from TCC meanies.

I have Verizon cell service. Just got a new plan with unlimited data, text and 450 minutes for $59.99. I have a very limited data phone, Samsung Convoy. I want the HTC Incredible, I think. Any reviews from anyone here?

I am not eligible for a phone upgrade until Dec. 2011. What if I paid early termination fee and canceled my account? It would cost $135.00 early cancellation fee.

Then I get a new account and get a free HTC Incredible phone with a new account and a 2 year contract.

What do ya think?

I don't know anything about the phone.. I have verizon and love them.. We have motorola droids..

Seems like an okay plan if you really want the phone.. But, make sure it is only going to cost 135.00 cause I was thinking it was more.. and make sure you can sign up with a new account and get the free phone still.. May need an account in another name? I know some companies have something in place, where you actually have to be a "new customer".. but that may not be an issue in this case.

I got the Incredible on Black Friday, free with new 2 year contract. Have you been to Best Buy and tried to work with them? We went to the Verizon corporate store, and couldn't get any deals. Spin it along the lines of, you have a great data plan, but can't use it to it's full potential with the current phone you have. You love Verizon, and plan on a new 2 year contract just as soon as they will let you. Don't pay the termination fee, see if they will waive it on the basis of you signing a new contract.

I did go to Best Buy and he suggested the contract cancellation thing. I will go back and try another rep.

Ank & Green - Thanks for the tips!! I really appreciate it ... might try an experimental run and see how it tastes ... I am leary of putting the alcohol in (even if it bakes off) as he is under STRICT orders from the Cardio NO NO NO alcohol not even a drop at the moment ... they have had to stop and restart his heart 3 times in the last week and can NOT get a proper sinus rythm and they want NOTHING that irritates heart linings at all.

okay peoples. Ambree (she's almost 3) got a fever last night of 105. We gave her Motrin and it went down to 102. Then 3 hours later it was back up to 105. We've been rotating tylenol and motrin for over 24 hours now and it won't go below 102. It's at 105 a majority of the time. She doesn't have a primary doctor so our only option really is an urgent care clinic or the ER. (last option because, quite frankly, I'm sick of the ER) She has no symptoms though. No puking, no cough, no runny nose..nothing. I ask her what hurts but she says nothing in particular hurts. No rash. I just don't know how long is long enough before we need to just take her in.

I worry about the ER also because she's obviously fighting off something and I don't want her picking up more germs by being around more sick people. Ugh.

Hi Dreeme! That sounds horrible...hug I'm a nurse, but I'm also a mom and I know how nerve-wracking that can be. Sometimes it's just best to go with your instincts. If you don't feel comfortable waiting out the night, I would go. How often are you rotating the Tylenol and Motrin? Is she eating/drinking anything? I would say if the fever hasn't broke, especially by tomorrow morning it's best to get her in.

Okay.. I am sometimes not in the majority because I am not a fan of taking kids to the doctor every time they run a fever. I too am a nurse, and know that way too many people run to the doctor for every little thing. I know that a fever is not a disease, but rather a symptom that your body is fighting something. MY MIL freaks out cause I let most things go for a few days. My guess with that high of a fever is that it is a virus, which will need to just run it's course probably.. However, IMO, 105 is a pretty high fever.. I can't say that any of mine ever ran temps that high, and you do run the risk of febrile seizures when their temp gets too high. Some kids do run higher temps than others and one of mine is known to run 103-104 temps every time he gets sick.

If she has had one that high for over 24 hours straight, I would probably take her to be seen.. If it were only 101 or so, I would probably ride it out another day, but with it being that high, it is hard to do nothing..

Make sure you are alternating the motrin/tylenol to keep something in her system and push fluids as much as possible. That high of a fever will cause her to dehydrate much more quickly.

I do understand your concern with the ER.. there are alot of germs there, but maybe you can keep her in a more secluded area away from alot of the other people waiting.. or you could go to the urgent care, but the ones here I know close at 9 or 10 pm.

I am sorry she is sick.. I know it is a sucky time for you right now.. hughug
