We have a santa in a sleigh and one reindeer that bends its head down to "eat." My sister and I had an interesting convo about it the other day...
sister- those are pretty cool
me- yeah but we need to get more reindeer and make it look like it's pulling the sleigh

Took the family out for a Hallmark and Target circuit. The stores were packed and we made out quite well.
I upgraded my crock-pot and have used it twice and
I'm having a hard time getting the gunk off. I'm going to get some Bar Keepers Friend at T today and try that. Any other suggestions? Any ideas what caused it and how to avoid it from happening? Please help save my crock-pot!
Reynolds slow-cooker liners!! These are very near and dear to my heart as they were my very first stockpile item when I got married, we got our own house, and I started using coupons casually a couple years ago
But seriously, I never use the crockpot without one now....very little clean-up to worry about unless the bag leaks or breaks which is rare for me. They run about $2.xx/box and there are $1/1 q's out right now. Haven't seen any spectacular deals but they are very worth the cost IMHO.

So, we brought the new furniture in and, as DH was pushing the couch back, the leg snagged my toe and ripped a chunk of skin off.

Ok went to the recycle bin earlier today and I have no idea of the totals # of inserts, not tuns or anything, but I am hoping there will be about 12 to 18 insert sets. So let me know if there is something you need a few of and I can check my inserts tomorrow. I haven't even looked at them since I got home. I made spagetti sauce in the crockpot today. I just brown the meat and them thow everything except the noodles in the crock on low.
So I am home with the lil one all day (and he was safe and unhurt) and during the 45 minutes I go to look for inserts with my friend DH and the girls put my lilB in his highchair to feed him but then they do not buckle him in and are just far enough way that when he tries to reach over to the counter to get a spoon he falls out and hits his forhead on the counter and then does a face plant onto the floor and chips his teeth. DH said he was so freaked out, he couldn't get there quick enough but he was surprised and relieved that he was not hurt that bad. thankfully we have wood floors instead of tile. He has a couple bruises on his forhead (one from the counter and one from the floor I guess) but was playing and acting like nothing was wrong, I couldn't even tell he had been crying. The chips in his teeth are tiny and tinyier very small but one is noticable if you look for it.
They are so lucky he didn't get hurt worse! Yeah, we had a discussion and they will all be more carefull. DH said the whole thing made him sick to his stomache and he got a huge headache, (I'm sure part of it was driving 10 hours straight to get the girls home in time for school) he said he had never seen anything so horrible and scary to not be able to catch his lil son falling head first to the floor.
So right before I was getting lilB into bed he was running around the house and headbutting the couches and my legs despite the little bruises on his forhead.

Lots of work, if you're allowed to work out of your home, then its not as bad. But just make sure that you check your local health dept to see if they allow it.. My didn't so I had to get a commercial kitchen. Even if you just start making them for family and friends, if word gets out to the authorities, you can get fined.. So be careful on who you make them for in the beginning. Trust that they won't say anything to someone else, that says "oh she sells them out of her home"..
My SS had a wish list. Yeah!! Hope she really wanted the item, because it's on it's way.. The company was so helpful. They wrapped it for me and shipped it out..It was really hard trying to figure something out, but when I seen the wish list, I was like Yeah!!

Has anyone else gotten the Folgers Vanilla Biscotti k-cups? So yummy!! I think it is my current favorite.

All is good in reality... frustrating and a roller coaster ride at times, but otherwise good.
I wanted to start a baking business here in TN, but the laws are ridiculous in TN. In Ohio it was easy to get a license (almost too easy) - but here, it's completely different. I have a good friend from church that recently bought a house for the express purpose of being able to run her tea business out of it - and it's relatively new house. Well, she's still had to change some things around and do upgrades! There's another lady that wanted to do a small baking and catering business and they basically told her she'd have to add on an entire second kitchen to be legal!!
I think that you can also see if there are local bakeries that will allow you to share the kitchen/equipment. I'm not sure how easy it is to find someone willing to do this if you are not already friends with someone who has a licensed kitchen access.
I do have a lady who pays me to make her cheesecakes and various party cakes - but it's not anything I advertise. I don't know if I really have the time to do it anyways, but it is something I like to do. Anyway, if you do ever go the unlicensed route - be careful. Any advertising or business cards can get the health department calling you... (and I know cuz I worked at one and they'd do that quite often to catch unlicensed folks!)

But ... hubby gets to come home early today, due to dealing with work emergencies for 3 hours at home last night (I was gone at a sales meeting, and he was supposed to be knocking down some serious cleaning). Needless to say, he got hardly anything done, which is why we're in crunch mode this morning. But like I said, he does get to come home early, so we can work together to finish everything.
OK, off to turn on some super energetic music and get it done!!!
