Those pics are adorable!!!

I wish I knew - I want to do a return because a shirt that I ordered doesn't fit my son - but I don't even see a barcode they can scan for the return??? How on earth do you make a return? Just print out the invoice? Do they type the number in then - cause I still don't see a barcode??
I know they can do returns on online purchases because I have found online returns on endcaps and bought them. They usually have a sticker that says online return too.

I am going to have to put together a packing list - just realized we'll need gloves and stuff for Ohio. Ugh! Has anyone traveled by car with a BFing infant? It'll be a good 8 hour drive assuming no accidents or snow/ice problems. I'm wondering if we'll have any issues with the drive + baby and how much longer it'll take to get there.

Hm... how do I entertain a 3 y.o. on a long drive? We used to just go in the middle of the night, but I think we'll be driving through the good part of the day this time - so not much chance for a long sleep from my toddler.
Oh wow oh wow! Good luck ank!!! I hope you have better luck traveling with the BF infant than we did. It was a horrifically long exhausting trip. My family lives (if you speed a little and go in the middle of the night so you only have to stop for gas, you can make it in 10 hours) It usually takes us 14 hours.

When lilB was a month old my mom was to sick to travel so we brought him to see her. We have two other kids so me crawling back there and trying to BF while he was in the car seat was a no go, not that I would have wanted to do that anyway, to uncomfortable I would think, plus then you are not belted in either, that would be some gymnastics and not fun to explain to the cop if you did get pulled over.

So that drive that time was almost 20 hours!!! It was so completely insane!!! We tried to let him cry for a little while but he would not stop and it was making the girls upset and me too. So we ended up pulling over so I could nurse him about every hour and a half, just for the nursing. We would check his diaper at that time, but he would poop about 45 minutes after eating so then we would have to pull over for that.

While I would nurse DH would take the girls on snack and potty breaks. One time we had just gotten back on the freeway for less than 5 minutes when DD exclaims she has to go potty, which she had JUST done. We reminded her and she said, but now I have to poop!

It was just the most insane and painfull road trip we have ever made. We should have just given up and stopped somewhere and slept for a while at a motel or something, but my mom kept calling asking where we were and we felt pressured to hurry and get there. Plus DH kept thinking once it got dark if he could just DRIVE for awhile we could finally get there. I don't think that there was anything that could have make our trip faster or better except not having a BF newborn that was determined to get his num nums every hour and a half day or night. He was determined to get his way and he did.

If she sleeps better and goes longer between BF at night then I would say go when the kids will be asleep. Sounds like that is not an option though, so hug good luck hun! If she will take a bottle you should pump and feed that way, that would help.

We just did that same trip and it took about 12 hours to get there, the kids were great and on the way home we traveled at night so it only took 10 hours to get home.

Quote from mamaoftwins2 :
Dec12girl - I owe you a PM but caught up in RL...Will try tp PM you later in the day...

How much can kids talk, seriously...Do any of you ever feel you want to shout and tell them to be quiet for 5 mins or am I just a bad mom...
laugh out loud lilB is a non stop chatter box, right now he is half singing half taking just to hear his voice, nonstop, he likes to be making noise. If not jibber jabbering and screaching then banging and crashing things around. I think I need some good ear plugs.

OMG! Our 8 hour drive to San Diego was made an 11 hour drive bc of all the extra stops we ha to make when Soph was still BF'ing! Frown It sucked! I didn't want to pump bc figured it wasn't that long and we could make it work! shake head Not so much! When this next baby comes, we are going to Mt for a month while I am on maternity leave, so that my family can spend time with her as well. I have already decided to pump on the drive and give her bottles of my milk since it is a 24 hour drive (2 12 hour days). I will just pump whenever someone else is driving and then give her the bottles.

Do you have a portable DVD player? If so, bring that along for sure! If not, maybe invest in one! It saves us on our trips with Soph! Also she brings her leapster and tag for keeping herself entertained during the drives!

M2C: Which one is the "pretty" one? I was lying in bed thinking I might ask for a Keurig for Xmas. I have a bad rep for not ever asking for anything specific and it drives my family crazy. Maybe I could convince myself that I "need" this. Where is the best deal? I know someone mentioned Kohls... Dontknow

Has anyone sold & shipped the Sonicare to anyone? I was wondering how you were packaging it for shipment. I was thinking just wrapping the box with brown paper or do you think I would need an additional box to ship it in?

DH just got word from his company that they will NOT pay for our relocation at all...but they said that they will give him 10 days of paid time to make the move...I thought that was a given but apparently not. I guess I should be thankful...not really in the thankful mood about this...Luckily, it is the end of the year and everything is deductible, so it won't be long before we can get some of it refunded.
I just shipped a sonicare yesterday. I don't think there's enough packing inside the box to just wrap it. I'd find a box to put it in. I'm lazy so I used a priority box from usps. I think they call it the shoebox one. It's not a flatrate, and it cost me $9 to ship. That was only .50 more than I had charged, so not bad. I'm sure it would be cheaper to find a generic box and do first class, but like I said, I'm lazy. I mean busy!

I think my DH got me a Keurig for Christmas. Question is, how do I stock up on k-cups before without him noticing that I just 'happen' to have some? Maybe I will just have to stick with what comes in the box. They do come with some, right?
Do you get christmas $ from anyone? If so, I'd just tell him you're planning on buying one with your christmas money and want to start stocking up early!

ank, would your 3 old play with any of the travel version toys that are free after q at T? that might be good.
games, some coloring stuff, maybe an etch a sketch, or a crayola version of the same for little ones. at T they have these small nihai kao lan phones. press buttons and it makes different sounds/says different things. now i realize that could get maddening on a trip, BUT, it will be better than crying/crankiness. i got one for my 3yo goddaughter. it has kept the 3yo and the 5yo fascinated for months. and now they're using it to entertain their 2 month old baby sister. working with her, too.

did you ever get in on those portable dvd player clearance thingies at T? cos if so you could take some cartoons with you and play those for her on the trip, too.

I have some 7 or 8 apples I need to use. They are just sitting out there going to waste. I'm thinking I might make an apple cobbler. Any better ideas? There is already caramel in the fridge and nobody has eaten it.

I have contemplated:
pie - sounds good, not sure it's enough apples, don't wanna roll crust
cake - I think hubby would rather have something that isn't cake -- but my fresh apple cake recipe is really good!
little dumplings - don't have any crescent rolls (please don't kick me out)
crisp - may or may not have oatmeal and I think hubby and daughter prefer more of a crust to a crumble with oats
apple pancakes.
apple turnovers
one of those upside down big apple pancakes (that's not what they're called; the picture is in my head, but i can't recall the exact name) with brown sugar that you turn onto a plate and people cut slices and have with drizzled syrup.

hug on Bono. this in your parents' old neighborhood? are there neighbors you guys are in touch with you/who know your parents well since they lived there so long? maybe make up a flier and email it to them and ask please if they would consider posting it around the neighborhood... if someone has Bono maybe they will see it, and contact you and then you can arrange transport/figure out how to do that.

I have buckets and buckets of Legos stored in a garage -- duplos, regular size, special little doodads, all kinds of Lego. I cannot wait for my son to have children. Kallison, when we moved 1/2 hr away from 1 house to another our kitty kept retuning to the old place , retrieved him twice , the third time he was gone SIX Months (over a horrible winter) . Doesn't he show up at Christmas no lie I'm not kidding , you never saw a happier family. Cats are notorious for hating to move. Hope your baby reappears !
Glad you had a safe trip

Maybe you could post missing flyers ?

I am so glad you made it! That is really sad about Bono, my heart hurts for you. Is there any way you can continue to check your old place to see if he/she turns up? Calling someone or have someone check for there? Comfort

I loved my cat Tippy for 7 years, I got her when she was just a month old. When I was 8 months pregnant with my first DD we had just moved and my SIL accidentally let her out. I never did find her. My oldest is now 14 so I know Tippy must be in heaven but I still miss her, wonder how her life was, and hope she found another family that she was happy and taken care of.

Glad you made it to Fl. So sorry about your kitty. Moving can be so stressful by itself, how sad that you have to deal with this on top of everything. As others suggested, hopefully your old neighbors can help out.

Buy a few things at the $1 Tree and wrap them. Give one to your 3 y.o. every so often to open and play with. You could draw a map with the points along the way....kinda like a treasure map. This also helps them "see" how much long till we get there. It makes sense in my mind because we used to do this when the kiddos were little, but I'm not sure I explained it very well.

Oh, and the upside down apple pancake thing has now made me want to make a pineapple upside down cake. Not gonna happen though -- don't have the stuff and still need to use these apples. I think I will forth with the cobbler.
