not sure if this was already mentioned here, but there is an easy Oreo Truffle recipe [kraftrecipes.com] - another great use for the philly.

And I have a confession.. I opened my SS gift.. wasn't totally on purpose.. It came in a box from USPS.. and I had ordered several things. I did think it was possibly my gift, figured I would open it, and if I saw gift wrap, I wouldn't unwrap but I guess I didn't think about it not being wrapped.. So, as soon as I opened it, I saw everything
But, I was glad after I opened it.. It was so nice.. Thank you Santa!!
Can't wait til DH gets here. He is taking me out for our anniversary today

Cannolis are awesome! I Had never had one until meeting my DH's family...they are a staple at any of their get-togethers. Last time I had one, someone brought a huge cannoli that had tons of smaller cannolis inside. Yummo.
you bought a car garage and the crown jewels? i thought garages came attached to homes and I know the crown jewels are under lock and key in the Tower of London.
have you been drinking peppermint schnapps straight out of the bottle? cos you know what that does to a person - if you're unsure, as specimen 1 I present to you...
cannolis... if any of you make it to austin, tx, go to a restaurant called Asti in north austin. it's a lovely italian restaurant owned by a couple. their food is amazing , the chocolate cannolis to die for. they have a thin crisp hazelnut praline shell, piped with a heavenly chocolate filling, sprinkled with powdered sugar and drizzled with melted chocolate, then served with strawberries.
if any of you make it to medford, ma or boston, ma look up modern pastry and go there! and plan to have extra time on hand. they generally have a line winding out the door. they have empty cannoli shells, then they pipe them fresh when you order, then dip in choc chips, sprinkles whatever you want on the ends. the ricotta cream is super light and fluffy, lightly sweetened. amazing!
