I must be crazy. I thought over the last 3 weeks that I had a dove chocolate B2G1 Q in my inserts, but none of the databases show this and I've been thru most of my inserts hunting, but coming up empty.

Just a thought....I ALWAYS (and I means always laugh out loud) confuse the Hershey's Bliss mq's in the paper as being Dove q's. I don't know why, I think they just look similar. Perhaps...? I found the peanut butter dove bars .40/ea. @ one of my Hy-Vee's this week, so .80 for three which I figured was good enough for it being easy. Can put 'em in stockings.

I saw one at Target on clearance for eight something. Don't know what brand or what the original price was. Just glanced down to check -- thought if it was really cheap I might pick it up. I think it had a silverstone or Teflon like finish. I hate that, but for something that doesn't get used very often it would probably last a while.
Thank you! I found the clearance springform pan yesterday. It's made Wilton, and it was $8.38. Much cheaper than the $17.99 I was going to pay for the other pan. hug I was thinking I could line it with parchment paper anyway...

We're doing okay, I guess. Slowly getting stuff unpacked, though it's just a clusterf*ck right now. My mom couldn't stand to leave stuff back in GA so we brought everything (like, we took the kitchen cabinets laugh out loud)- way more than we could ever need. None of us even want to deal with it right now!

i have an aluminum springform pan i bought several years ago. i always line it with parchment. and it's as good as new.
so if scratches/peeling is what you are afraid of, the parchment will do the job of preventing caked on grease that needs scrubbing.

however, if the (un)healthiness of Teflon is the concern, then I'm not so sure parchment will be enough of a barrier. as i understand it, the problem with teflon is that when it heats up it releases toxic fumes that get absorbed into food. an empty teflon pan sitting on a burner set to medium for just 3-4 minutes is enough heat to get those fumes going. Frown

all that being said, i've noticed it is very hard to find bakeware without these nonstick coatings. i have muffin pans, loaf pans, cake pans (round and square) and they all have the coating. i got them before i knew of this and now i that know i hesitate to use em, but hesitate to toss em, too. Embarrassment

annoying. as gt said, if you don't use often, no biggie. i bake/cook from scratch virtually every.single.day. so teflon anything is a problem. sigh.

eta: i'm thinking of trying that lazy family line in-store. LMAO think they'll go for it and give me the educator discount for each?

Hey, I always think it's worth asking if it means getting a discount. Worst they can say is no, or they could say yes. Smilie

I avoid nonstick as well and I have no idea why I bought the Calphalon stuff. It didn't sink in that it's basically non-stick, all over. Mad

What is the deal with Target?

Someone I know was recently lamenting over a bad experience with Target. I checked their ResellerRatings.com score [resellerratings.com], and their six month rating is an unbelievable 0.64. That's one of the worst scores I've seen. There's no way I would take a chance dealing with a merchant that bad.

Why do so many people here seem to like Target despite such bad customer service?
Quote from kallison423 :
I don't trust sites like that because they're essentially useless when people only write to complain...as apparent by the complaining on there about the BF GPS deal.
Don't ask me how I stumbled uponthis thread today but this is 1 reason why you shouldn't necessarily trust the ratings you read. Most people (myself included) wouldn't stop to write a review unless I had a horrible experience. Some people might even jump on the bad review bandwagon if given a little mob mentality encouragement. Coverlaugh

i know what you mean about not wanting to deal. i've been that way with emotional moves in the past.

what we did to get it done is say 2 hours in the morning, 1 hour in afternoon, 1.5 hours in evening. so we'd do it by the clock, then stop when each block was done. since it's 3 of you it means a lot will get done in each block, but atleast for us having an end in sight (only 2 hours, only 1 hour etc) made it more doable/less draining/less overwhelming.

hope the house becomes a home soon and brings all of you lots of joy, luck, health and fortune. hug

p.s. if your mum likes the old kitchen cabinets, fyi you could sell the ones in the new house and get a decent amount of money for em. a friend of mine bought cabinets on ebay from a family with a similar story. they look lovely in the new home.

Had a wonderful dinner with DH. The teens all went to a youth party, and we had to take out toddler with us.. but, I tell ya, it was almost like a date.. She fell asleep on the way. We carried her in the restaurant and she slept laying on the bench of the booth. We ordered her food, but she never woke up, so we brought it to the car in a to go box.. She slept the whole time and we never heard a peep from her so we had a quiet peaceful dinner Smilie

Now, many thanks to tootsieworship .. I am sitting here drinking coffee with my Torani SF syrup and some whipping cream and it is wonderful..
so. much. better. than. coffeemate yummy

Now, I am off to "point, click, and ship" the rest of my Christmas shopping laugh out loud

I bought one of the cheese balls from the Deli area at Wal-Mart for $2.50. I haven't had one in a long time but they used to be good.

Try this one:

2 (8 oz.) Cream Cheese
2 Tbs. Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbs. Miracle Whip
2 Green Onions chopped finely
2 Packages of Budding Beef chopped finely

Cream it together, chill.

The original recipe said to reserve half the beef and roll the ball in it. I put all the beef in it and put in a plastic container rather than rolling it into a ball.

I don't put the onions in it either -- initially because my son hates them. I love onions and don't miss them. I also think it keeps better without them.

They are yummy. They are also on sale at Target right now for $2 and there is a $1 Nabisco crack coupon. I think they were two bucks at Wal-Mart too, but I'm not sure.
hee hee, she's buying crack Teehee
besides, the Miracle Whip (which completely skeeves me out) this looks like an amazing cheese recipe! YUMMO!

Setsail - saw you posting on the SS cookware set in deals....IMO that looks like a pretty good set, has the things you would look for + it gets very good reviews on the T. website. I recall looking at that one but at the time the Giada stuff was pretty new to T. so I didn't want to risk it.

I see some reviews on it being hard to keep clean and that's about it for cons....and frankly if you don't know *how* to keep them clean and cook so that stuff doesn't stick majorly then no, they will not look clean LMAO

That is exactly what I plan to do! The only pot that has been used in the set is the stockpot. The other pieces were too much of a pita for every day so I have been using the stainless steel set I bought many moons ago. laugh out loud
