Hey guys! J
Can't wait til DH gets here. He is taking me out for our anniversary today bounce I can't believe we have been married for 20 yearswoot Just doesn't seem like we can be that old. I have truly been blessed with a wonderful hubbyheart !
Happy late Anniversary. Glad you had a good "date"/dinner.

OK, so I am never, ever cooking chicken taco meat any other way.......crock pot method was way too easy and Yum-O. Next time I am stocked up on chicken I am going to do a big batch and freeze....somehow I think it's probably even better that way after it has sat and absorbed the juices nod
:
Can I have the recipe? I am sure it was posted already, so if you give me the search terms, I would love to have a look.

We're doing okay, I guess. Slowly getting stuff unpacked, though it's just a clusterf*ck right now. My mom couldn't stand to leave stuff back in GA so we brought everything (like, we took the kitchen cabinets laugh out loud)- way more than we could ever need. None of us even want to deal with it right now!
I am so very glad that you guys made it to the new house. Great job with the bartering. We do it all the time. You'd be surprised how many people say yes to bartering. My sympathies with unpacking and putting things away!

Congrats Grandma!! She is beautiful. Your grand niece is beautiful.
I am sorry you got a boo-boo. I am sorry that your heater is broken. I am however thrilled for you with the 2 new blessings in your life.

Quote from ank220 :
*laugh* That is awesome.

Do you have a space heater? At our last place, everything was kind of open and drafty. We put sheets up between the main room and the rest of the house. We would run the space heater in that room (since it was the one we spent most of the day in), and then in the bedrooms at night. At any rate - it made it nice and toasty in those rooms. The rest of the house was cold (and it looked a little ghetto), but it did okay by us with that. Also, I would bake bread in the mornings and often make dinner first thing to help warm up the place a little.
Nothing wrong with ghetto living! We have our space heaters going. We have a heater in the main room and the kitchen. The rest of the rooms have the ghetto look going. Upstairs, we run a space heater at night, all doors stay open (well most of the time, if ya get my meaning) and the heater heats up all the bedrooms nicely.

Greenie...you sound like superwoman..baking each morning, super suppers, nice stocking stuffers, etc, etc...all I want to know is this....Will you adopt me????

So how far back do you guys keep your receipts from all your runs? I'm thinking I'm just going to start chucking, because my desk is getting overrun by them. Then put a system in place, file them away neatly, so it doesn't happen again.

Got my son early from school, then hit up HT to get baking supplies and groceries. Thankfully it wasn't too busy, other than the fact that the kid carts were all being used, so my two older ones roamed free the entire time. shake head Now I know why I try to never get groceries with all three together. But I think we managed fairly well, and lots of the baking stuff was on sale. Good thing because I didn't even bring coupons!!! Faint I know that's breaking an unwritten rule of SD, but I knew if I took the time to find all my baking coupons and clip them, I would never get to the store. That's what bugs me about my current coupon system - gotta fix it!!!! laugh out loud

I'm enjoying my cup of coffee, and then its time to tackle mess and baking! Which means finding some rockin' Christmas music to get the blood flowing. Big Grin

I keep my receipts for the month in a freezer bag. At the end of the month, I put that bad in a garbage bag. Said garbage bag sits in the cellar. So yes, I have receipts going back 2 years.

FurReal pets playground was $35 now $9.99 on amazon.

We have the FurReal pets and some Zhu Zhu's too, but none of the houses or playgrounds for them yet.

I have not wrapped anything but SS gifts. I have the paper out now and should really get to wrapping.

We are helping three or four families out this Christmas. I think I just need an assistant and a maid, cook, and nanny. Then I will have plenty of time to get everything done that I want to do.

DH is thinking maybe we should just go to Disneyland for Christmas. Give the kids tickets instead of toys. Not even sure where to start to try to look for deals on tickets for Disney or hotel rooms. He is thinking a few days after Christmas, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday for three days. I don't know, it does sound fun but I think he might be dreaming, not sure we could swing it money wise.

I think that is two falls down the stairs now, ouch!! hug
*Reminding myself to slow down, that is so me.

ARG! My toner is still not here today, the seller hasn't listed shipping info, wth? I ordered last week. I NEED some TQs STAT! Cold

Bunnies: http://www.food.com/recipe/crock-...-meat-4957

3 TBSP of taco seasoning was about the equivalent of a packet of what I had -- Old El Paso seasoning...there is also a recipe on there to make your own taco seasoning: http://www.food.com/recipe/bulk-t...g-mix-4292 I dunno if I'll ever try that or not, seasoning packets seem pretty cheap as it is.

Anyway, only thing I did different from that was that near dinner time I shredded the chicken and then put it back in the crock pot on warm for about an hr. until we were ready to eat so it could soak up the yummy juices and be more moist and flavorful Smilie Worked like a charm.

You are posting in the wrong thread --- That belongs in the Target deals thread. Big Grin

And since some of you [wisely] don't go to the T deals, here are results of my trip this afternoon:

Houston - Westheimer/Fondren:

HHH are on the shelves in the stocking stuffer area [scattered in different bins]

Several of the red boxed toys are reduced to 50%:
  • Car & Truck Set w/ Carry Case #086 10 0180 -- $10 [This is the big transport truck with several Hot Wheels-type cars inside]
  • Stainless Steel Cookware Play Set #086 10 0196 --- $7.50
  • Gadget Pack #086 10 0401 --- $10
-------

OfficeMax -- A couple of my stores have their school supplies [mainly their brand] on clearance. [Most not as cheap as what we got during BTS sales, but if you need them, you need them.]

Examples:
10-count ballpoint pens - 20¢
10-count colored pencils - 40¢
24-count crayons - 30¢
Pencil cases - 50¢

-----

Lowe's -- Got an email from them regarding a lot of discounted items, including Kering coffee makers at 20% off.

Bunnies, you aren't late sweetie hug My actual bday is Monday but we always celebrate early since it gets lost in Christmas chaos!
