As if I'm not too big already, I'd be as big as a house if I lived next door to you. I'm not really a sweets person, but put sweet and salty together and watch out.

I made the mistake of shopping at Publix before driving back from Spartanburg. Publix had the Demet's Chocolate Covered Pretzels as BOGO (half price). I bought a tall cylinder of them, but they didn't make it back to Alabama. Entire can/cylinder was finished somewhere on the west sode of Atlanta on the 6 1/2 hour drive home.

Well now, that's certainly understandable. You must keep up your strength to stay alert and in control on that long drive.

Officially added the pecan pieces to my shopping list for this week GT Smilie Plus I can get those at Aldi....our Aldi has not had the pecan halves so that solves that dilemma too - was hoping to just be able to make one trip there at some point and be done. I still have caramels/cream/etc. leftover. I have some highly, highly nonstick baking sheets....I think I will try slathering the butter on those if possible. Then at least if it doesn't work I won't be peeling bits of wax paper off the back of 'em.

Ooo Aldi. I rarely think to go there when I am in Mason City. That should work with a thick coat.

Nope, the caramel is really sticky. It just takes lots of butter or nonstick spray.

Ok, here you go. This is the last picture I took with my old camera and the first picture I took with my new one. EXACT same settings on both. Aperture mode, f-stop 2.8, 1600 ISO, custom white balance, no flash, same lens. I can't believe the difference in the quality and how much more light the new camera lets in.

Do you think the others guy at work will make fun of him?

Winter, cold windy, hubby works outside usually alone. He asked if I had any Chapstick. I didn't but our daughter said she had some and proceeded to get him a tube. Later on in the day he was talking to someone else who works for the railroad. And they guy was looooooking at him. And looooking. Finally hubby asked him what in the hell he was looking at. Guy says, "well, I was just wondering why you are all sparkly". Yep, she gave him glitter lip gloss. And he had been wearing it all day long.

hi my sweet chatterboxes.

had a very rough night and a rough day. but i have just found some respite from pain. yayyyy. so here i am to say hello.

gt next time you are near a walgreens or target, get hubby some "yes to carrots" brand chapstick. it is extremely moisturizing, doesn't start a flaking cycle like chapstick brand. is colorless. they have lip tints also, so be careful not to get a tube but rather the regular chapstick like cylinder.

kisses to all of you.

here's hoping my SS has recd her box already. or will soonish.

hugs all.

greeny, I hope the pain goes away fast for you. So did anything happen to the other driver? Is their insurance going to pay for any of the medical costs?

DH and my sister are going out chrismtas shopping tonight and leaving me here with all four kids. Should be very interesting. Hopefully my 2 year old doesn't nod off before 8.

haven't seen the police report yet cos they do a dumb thing here: the police write the report then it goes to the rmv. you have to pay a 20 buck fee to get a copy from rmv. it could take 30 days to 90 days to get a copy. huh? why can't you just go over to the state police barracks (was a state road) and get it? nope. as a victim why can't you get a copy of the report for free? nope.

so i don't know whether he was cited. i imagine he was since he admitted at the scene to troopers and me that he ran the red light.

but now that the police report is done, my car a total loss and me hurt, he is starting to change his story to say i hit him. uh-huh. too late to start lying.

for now my insurance is covering the medical costs. but as this proceeds if i remain hurt, i will have to get a Personal Injury lawyer and sue his insurance. not excited about that.
and if not, my insurance will pay medical costs and then they will sue his insurance to get it back.

long complex process.
