I made humongo-millionaires....did not feel like dipping a bunch of small ones Teehee These are going on my baking lists for next year in larger quantities. I did truffles this year (cream cheese base --- I didn't think I could pull off real ones, maybe next year Smilie) and they turned out good.

Faint Have been in the kitchen all morning...need to go clean stuff up now.

RA and Wags both have Hot Wheels individual cars for 2/$1. That's what I've been getting for mine. And RA also has little Disney figurines for .99, so I've found lots of the TS3 characters, as well as Mickey Mouse, Pooh, etc.

Actually, I don't have little boys.. but, I made up a little gift bag for my nephew with cars, stickers from the dollar spot, playdough, crayons (tons from kroger), coloring book, and candy.. along with some oral b kids toothbrushes Smilie

I am not a truffle expert so I guess I really don't know what is considered a real one. The ones I made used butter and heavy cream. They were easy. I think they would be even easier and probably a little prettier if I hada scoop with the clicky thing to push them out. I have one but it's too big so I just roll them with my finger then kind squish up a little taller and a little less round.

Have you used any white chips for dipping? Second time around the Nestle chips didn't do much better. They just stay too think. I did add Crisco, but geez, I don't want to add as much as it would take to get it a nice dippy consistency. They would be half shortening. I guess I could use actual Almond Bark but I kind of equate that with using cheap off brand choc chips. I wanted to melt a tiny bit and tint it pink today too, too drip over the top of the black cherry truffles.

I agree on the food Teehee My dh has the easiest stocking to fill out of all of 'em. I manage to find him other little things besides food too but food type stuff is so cheap and easy Big Grin

Your truffles sound more like the 'real' kind Wink I used white chips to dip my oreo truffles. Besides that I did not this year but have used them for plenty of other things before. How warm do you keep it in your house??? We keep it about 62 and everything sets up good but when we took some stuff to my MIL's the chocolate was a little melty and they keep their house a lot warmer. Other than that I don't know what the problem might be....I use chips of all sorts on most everything and never add anything and they set up great Dontknow
