Had a wonderful day.. ate way too much! My DD loved her princess stuff from Target! The rapunzel tower table and chairs set was a big hit! The big kids got video games, and cell phones, so they were happy too!
My DH got me several nice new outfits and a Kindle from Amazon
I made sausage balls and those sausage and cream cheese in a crescent roll for brunch. We snacked on those all day and I wasn't even hungry at dinner.. I didn't feel much liking cooking, so we went nontraditional and put a roast in the crock pot. It cooked all day and was falling apart by the time we ate at 7 pm.. Other than that we added a few left over sides from last night's meal, and called it done!
Hoping in snows all night and we don't get out at all tomorrow
I opened my amazing, generous, spectacular SS gifts and I love, love, love, love them! you couldn't have gotten them more perfect. so deepest, deepest, deepest thanks for so thoughtfully remembering and making a note of all the things i liked and would like. amazing!
i got: Keith Richards' biography which I have been dying to read! SO excited! plus, I got a copy of The Secret, which I have not read and has been on my read list but I've always been on the fence but lately have been wanting to read. I firmly believe that books/wisdom like that comes your way when you are actually ready and willing to receive the information. I am!! And I got my all-time fave Green and Black's Organic Milk Chocolate. Oh and um, when you have chocolate in hand, well you gotta put it somewhere to lick it off: I got the durex party pack.

And under the christmas miracles category, i have two that just make me smile so wide:
yesterday was a very tough day for me physically and i found myself gasping for breath repeatedly. so in the evening, exhausted from pain and being unable to breathe I was lying on the couch and I started praying. And I asked for two things: please help dull this pain/restore my breathing so I can get some rest. And then please wake me up when the time is right and allow me some respite so I may wrap presents. I hadn't managed to clean or decorate the house, do stockings, cook xmas dinner or even shop for all the things I wanted to get, so I atleast wanted to be able to make the presents I had look nice and festive for my loved ones. They deserve that.
What do you know? I fell off to sleep on the couch while praying "jesus help me" without even realizing I was asleep. And then all of a sudden I woke up at midnight -- on the dot -- with my voice in my head saying it's time to wrap presents, it's time to wrap presents. for the next 1.5 hour, there was not a single sign of pain and discomfort as I wrapped all the presents. Mind you, I cannot bend, or lift, or stretch or reach out my arm or anything since the accident. But for that 1.5 hour I did everything. And felt nothing. As soon as the last present was wrapped, I put em away, said a thank you prayer and reached down for the ribbon box to put it away. Owwwwwww! The pain was back. just as before!

Banana Republic is having a special sale tomorrow; addtl 50% off all sale items until noon in stores only. people said last year most everything in store was already up to 40% off and then the 50% kicked in on top making great things super cheap. Many/most BR stores open at 6 am tomorrow.

I got to experience two White Christmases. Was at my brothers and the SILs Christmas Eve night and it snowed overnight. Drove home yesterday early afternoon (wanted to get home before dark) and it had snowed here at home Christmas Day sometime in the noon-mid afternoon timeframe. Loved being in the hustle and bustle with my family for Christmas. TV was a huge hit.
I got to experience two White Christmases. Was at my brothers and the SILs Christmas Eve night and it snowed overnight. Drove home yesterday early afternoon (wanted to get home before dark) and it had snowed here at home Christmas Day sometime in the noon-mid afternoon timeframe. Loved being in the hustle and bustle with my family for Christmas. TV was a huge hit.
DGD said "You make my life" when she opened the Lost Series DVD's. She and her friends had watched first and second season and were totally hooked.
My niece came down here with an apparent stomach bug. Has spent the past three days off and on puking. Now my 2 year old is puking. I see this as being an epidemic in my house within the next 48-72 hours.
Thinking about heading to target later.. Don't expect to find much.. Usually all the good paper plates/towels/ziplocs and such are snagged up pretty early.. And I wait around until 75% or 90% off for really good clearance finds otherwise..
Isn't there a TQ for up and up that may work on the holiday hand soaps?
I am anxious to hear reports about bakeware.. I am thinking I could use a few more items
If anyone gets anything today.. please report!

Didn't buy a single clearance Christmas item this morning, but I did pick up a few cookie sheets for my Mom for Mother's Day.
