Except when my Dad lived with me when he broke his leg, I've never cooked supper every night (throwing a frozen dinner in the microwave is not cooking) like most of you moms do. Usually when I make something, part of it has to go in the freezer, or I get sick of it eating it every night for dinner. I've bought bagged salad twice now, and it rotted before I ate it. I bought cauliflower and forgot it was in the frig and it went to liquid
My SIL keeps saying I need an organizer like on the show Neat (fit.tv) Love to have one of those, but I hate throwing stuff away that I paid $$ for. I'm single and have two refrigerators AND a 13 cubic foot freezer that are all stuffed to the gills (maybe wouldn't be if I cleaned out all the expired stuff though).
Where do you find tortilla chips like restaurants serve that aren't salted (Ones I've bought in the snack aisle don't work and are W A Y too salty)? My favorite mexican food is chicken nachos, so I wanted to make some with the taco chicken I made. I baked some low carb flour tortillas last time and they were OK, but not what would compare to the mexican place (and I don't want to buy a fryer just for nachos).
Will definatly say a prayer.
So, my mom and aunt and I always go out the day after Christmas more for tradition's sake than anything. We decided to go to Walmart before Target this year and who is there but the local shelf-clearer (not surprising since she doesn't really shop @ T., mostly WM and Wags) and I'm thinking oh, this is gonna be good. So anyway, I see her and her kid bolting for the holiday Ziploc bags....they're on the top shelf and she can't reach them so she has him standing of the baby seat part of the cart to reach them and shove them into her cart. The swipe all 30-40 boxes of those and move on....
So then I am walking through the reg. section of Walmart over by HBA when I overhear her and her posse (yeah it was like a whole family of them!!) asking the associates where the gift sets are and they are in the process of checking when I hear over the radio that they are down by the entrance, which is about where I am up to at this point
Mind you there is absolutely nobody else standing there but me and her (and her posse of people, whoever they were.) And she says jokingly, "oh sorry, didn't mean to bump into you!" Pffffttttt....like hello lady if you're exhibiting this type of behavior you MIGHT just end up knocking into people and causing trouble.
So I'm still just standing there looking at them when, in her frenzy to swipe all of these into her shopping cart, she knocks one off and it lands on my head
I swear some people are nuts. It's not like there were a bunch of people just swarming these....nobody even knew that they were up there. Her and her family or whoever they were had 5+ carts full of Gillette, Axe, Old Spice, etc. gift sets
So, did anyone else have an exciting shopping experience yesterday morning??
3 doses at that....I can barely take NyQuil or DayQuil for that matter without feeling drugged. This is like feeling mega-drugged. I am perfectly content on the couch for the rest of the day.
You must live in a town with my shelf-clearer's relative or something.....OK, gotta tell this story....

IMO silence is consent...It's not like you're married to her or see them every day in the work place...you should have let her have it!
I stopped at KMart. Nothing too exciting. Most stuff is half price. That makes the Glade Christmas scents $1.50 for everything -- spray, jar candle, tin candle, oil refill. So no good coupon deals there.
They had an Axe gift set for $4 - $3 coupon and the Fusion Razor set for $5 - $4 coupon. (I think it's the same one as WM - razor, face wash, deodorant, shave gel). There was also an Old Spice set (cologne and deodorant) for $2.74 - $2 coupon. Just a reminder on the $4 Fusion coupon -- they were in the last P&G (exp. 12-31) also, so use your old ones first.
There are a lot of perfumes half price also. On the more expensive bottles there are $4 peelies. They are the plain Coty peelies that don't say anything on them. I think there were a couple things that would have been a buck or two after the peelie. There will be some nice stuff for a couple dollars if it goes 75%.
I didn't even think to stop at Dollar General. Do they have any Axe sets to use that $3 coupon on? I would so love to go in there and find a bunch that would be free after coupon -- especially since that one specifically says gift sets. There is a cashier in there that HATES coupons (I don't think she is too nuts about me either
I get there first and calmly put ever single gift set they had into MY cart and was standing there looking at them with my cart and myself parked strategically in front of the empty display and here she comes...... I proceeded to stand there and look at them one at a time -- inspecting each and every one, reaching out to put it back on the display and then changing my mind at the last minute and putting it back into my cart. After she left the store, I put them all back on the shelf and went home.

My right ear is acting weird suddenly. I think I can still hear out of it, but it's weird! Like it's numb or something!
Oh, and here is an awesome pic of that Hoar Frost you were talking about. We had it down here too; this is a pic someone took at a local park:

TN - I've baked my own tortilla chips before using corn tortillas....baking would be healthier than frying though I know you are going for a specific flavor - the restaurant ones. A couple other ideas: sometimes I break up hard taco shells and put the chicken/cheese on those, they are a little more like restaurant tortilla chips if you bake them like it says to on the box. Do you have any local restaurants that sell them and that would just leave them unsalted for you?

I am sure that one of these times I will not be able to hold back
Then there was this other lady at Target that same morning.....another woman and I were trying to get our carts down one of the Christmas aisles and the aisle was just a bit too narrow for two carts so we had collectively determined that she would back out of the aisle at her end so I could exit that row and she could move back in. Meanwhile, this lady behind me shouts, "I NEED TO GET THROUGH!!!" in a very frustrated, nasty tone of voice. I laughed then turned around and said, "Ummmmm YEAH. Me too. What does it LOOK LIKE we are trying to do????" H.o.n.e.s.t.l.y. Some people are morons.
Today the Dr. asked me if I had been stressed out yesterday....I said no. Well, maybe yesterday WAS a bit stressful
The stuff I want at 90% is nothing important, but it's the cute decorative stuff that isn't worth full price- like the pink purse & shoe ornaments, haha.
.
Other than that, there is some splattering. I keep wiping stuff down while I cook. I'm standing there anyway and it's much easier to keep it wiped down while everything is hot than to wait til later. Plus, I don't have a yucky mess to go back to.
