Actually, I'm not using the briefcase right now. I have moved everything into a smaller plastic box. I still have the two rows of A-Z and sort the same way. It's just smaller to lug around. But I have to say, the briefcase definitely had it's advantages. More room, space for scissors, stapler, pens, sale flyers. It sat in the seat better. Plenty of room for checkbook/wallet, phone, keys, etc. if I wanted to leave purse in car. I had no need but there would have been room for a diaper/wipes and bottle or snacks even.
