i have a confession. i was supposed to weigh in today and start back on the road of eating better/portion control, but i was so eager to go treasure-hunting i didn't get on the scale today b4 eating breakfast which is how i always do it, even though i know you are supposed to do it after lunch so it's an average of the day.

so i will for sure weigh in tomorrow, even though i'm sure i will get up early again to go treasure-hunting and pray that tomorrow won't be another disappointment. at least there have been a handleful of reports of 90% off which is better than what happended w/ july 4th clearance.

i did eat fruit w/ my lunch, about a qtr of a large pommelo, which is supposed to help w/ weight loss.

i tried the kraft homestyle mac and cheese today b/c we happened to have milk around the house for once and i don't taste any difference from the kraft deluxe boxes, except for some crunchy breakcrumbs you can sprinkle on top. and you have to put the sauce together yourself in 3 stages instead of it being premade. i make mac and cheese from scratch all the time and this is nowhere near it. and i'm sure it's more expensive than the deluxe. who dreams up these things??? i'm so glad i got it for free b/c i would never pay full price.

i also added peas to make it healthier than just eating a convenience food. which wasn't really convenient at all.

I feel the same way about the Kraft homestyle. No way would I pay regular price for it. I do think it tastes a little more top-shelf than the boxed (but I have a special place in my heart for the boxed kind, so I can't bash it too much), but homemade mac and cheese is not that difficult and tastes so much better than this stuff, with only a teeny bit more work. And the ingredients are more natural/healthy!

I do like to have stuff like that on hand for hubby, though, on those rare evenings when I am not home to cook dinner. He can read the instructions and hasn't ruined it yet.

No worries, I am sure you will get back on the scales and right back on track! There aren't too many of us TCC dieters who have stuck it out the last few months are there?? Some days it is just me, thismom, and slowtech talking to each other laugh out loud

I finally got off the Christmas junk food feast.. Ate good for a few days, got sick for 24 hours, and have been back eating pretty good the last 2 days.. I was down another pound today.. Closing in on the 70 pound mark soon Big Grin
