I'm glad the melatonin discussion came back up. We are at our wits end with JJ. We've tried it all...sleep training, co-sleeping, etc and this kid just won't sleep. He has slept through the night less than 10 times in 16 months. I'm laying in bed listening to him scream in his crib and I'm crying right along with him. We're going to have a new little one in April and I cannot deal with 2 kids up at night, all night, every night.

I guess I should talk to the doc, but he kinda laughed and said we're lucky with the sleep he's getting (apparently after observing how busy JJ was in the exam room). I can't remember who give this to their kids. Just curious how young and what dosage would be appropriate for JJ.

I. Am. Just. So. Friggin. Exhausted.

And fark you to all of you whose kids slept through the night from 12-13 weeks. :middlefingersmiley:

I can totally sympathize with you. My #4 didn't sleep all night until she was almost 2.. and still about 1 or 2 nights a week, she wakes up around 3-5 am and cries out for me.. she will be 3 this monthFrown Some kids just don't sleep as well.. and I don't know why.
My other 3 slept all night, every night around 6-8 weeks.. even the breast babies.. so weird.. same mom, same dad, same bed, same schedule.. totally different sleep habits.

I was thinking it was setsail who had mentioned it before with kids, but I could be wrong.. I would ask the pediatrician though..

Hope you get it resolved before the babeh comes hug maybe JJ will grow out of it by then..

Me, DH, and the toddler went out to Target and to chickfila for a very late lunch. That is my DD favorite place ever.. she loves the playground.. and I like the food much better than most playgrounds. I was able to get a chicken strip salad and it was so good yummy

Anyway, we get home at 4:30, and my 2 sons were still asleep OMG I can't believe that hadn't gotten out of bed all day.. I can't wait til life returns to normal around here.. back to getting up early tomorrow!

So, tonight.. it was 7 pm and I realized I hadn't though about dinner cause we ate so late at lunch time.. I threw something together quick.. forgot how much I loved buffalo chicken drool I cooked some strips in a touch of oil and then tossed them in franks wing sauce.. definitely gonna do that again soon!

I know it doesn't help those of you without a RA, but their ad this week has a BOGO Halls coupon, MQ. It does have the RA logo on it, but is coded as a MQ.
Don't forget the .50 VV (video value) too!

I feel for you!!! hug Oldest ds was the worst sleeper!!! Even when he was "asleep", he would thrash around and kick. We finally had his tonsils taken out when he was 5 yrs old, and he turned into a different kid! The tonsils were almost a 4 our dr's 1-4 measurement scale, and they were essentially choking him at night when his throat muscles relaxed. He had also had several bouts with strep prior to the tonsils coming out, but he hasn't had it since! And his energy during the day was good energy after the surgery, as opposed to that "tired out of my brain and if I sit down for a minute I might actually pass out so I'd better keep moving and yelling and basically driving my parents INSANE" kind of energy he exhibited before the operation.

Any chance your ds might be experiencing this kind of sleep apnea?

Shopping finds (or at least interests) today.

Oscar Mayer Bacon is back at $3.49/lb ends on the 8th. We need some MQs to go with the TQ. I got a raincheck for 6 lbs tonight.

Gerber 2 pk blanket sleepers have a $1 off any Gerber onesie pkg Q (coded 76, expiry 1/31/11) No I'm not expecting, but my Nephew's wife is. I was bummed that none of the hooded towels were less than $6. I looked at 5 pk onesies, reduced at $6.88 and 2 pk blanket sleepers too. I've never been around a baby. I WAS the baby, and my Brother's kids were all born when I was in VA. My Nephew was a HUGE child (3 oz short of 15 lbs at birth), so I was looking at 18 months clothes for next winter, and he/she is due in May.

Emerald Nuts 10 oz canisters had a $1/1 TQ peelie, exp 4/30/11.

My store had a just a bit of clearance, but had TONs of the Cocoa Goldfish for 54¢.

I didn't buy anything. Nothing jumped out at me and cried take me home. Dontknow why I didn't feel like shopping.

Thrift, two of DD's doc's recommended melatonin for sleep issues though! As a just in case. Being that she never sits still and drives us all bonkers, they are all surprised she sleeps as well as she does and always assume she needs medication Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

my fellow 'get healthy peeps'...do any of you own the Zumba dvd's? I'm intrigued by them but not enough to make a fool of myself in a class setting Teehee I would love to errrr...borrow...a .....errr...copy of one Whistling if anyone has it Big Grin

Oh yeah! Forgot about that!!

I have jumped back on the wagon with regards to eating healthy. Until tonight, that is. Had a meeting that involved a potluck. Tried to be good, and fill my plate with mostly veggies/fruit. But a few candies/cookies may have snuck their way on...

But I did make a yummy dinner for the family, which I was proud of. Will eat the leftovers tomorrow.

OK, off to bed!!

ha ha.. you guys had me killing myself laughing over there. Bunnies, like Tootsie i spewed juice all over my keyboard..

Well I just got another warning about my "lashing" out on the KM Tearpad thread.. I didn't think I was lashing out?? Here is what I said.

"Yes, but since she is a self admitted "take all of them" kinda person.. just wanted her to confirm if she did it again, so everyone else that needed any can forget about going to that KM."

I guess if I get one more "friendly reminder" I will be banned.
WTF , I told he I thought it was disgusting , and even told her to read up on compulsions

Not that I'm complaing but didn't even get a warning.

BTW since someone mentioned her scn over here in a post it comes up when you google her, so she could follow us over here.

Quote from tmcws :
Ugh - I did NOT need to google that. Did you see the thread where she said she got 1452 dental floss from WM on a deal? WTF? Who needs that kinda floss? I could fence my entire horse pasture with floss!
Yeah, these numbers , are really just over the top, I don't really know a definitive for how much is too much, but these just are.
This womans arrogance just really gets to me.

I didn't shop at all today, totally crashed ,I was just exhausted.
