Isn't there some wall thing you can post on? Post there "Please do not send advertising to my home" and unfriend her. How tacky.

BTW since someone mentioned her scn over here in a post it comes up when you google her, so she could follow us over here.

I have most of supper in the crock pot. The chicken is just about defrosted, so I have to cube and cook it, then throw it in. I'm making some sort of white chicken chili soup/stew stuff. Never made it. Mom gave the recipe, says it's delicious. We shall see. (Pretty sure I won't like it -- don't care much for beans, don't like chicken).

Got part of those damn outside decorations moved from my little garage to my big garage and boxed up. There are still some in the little garage but at least I can get my van in now. I suppose I should cart a couple more things down, disassemble and box them today. We shall see.Cool There are still "people" in ferris wheel seats drying in my bathroom.

I would. Actually, better yet. Respond with, " I sent you my address thinking it would be nice to hear from you. I was quite surprised to start receiving advertising junk mail instead. How disappointing. Remove my name from your mailing list."

edit: If you are feeling particularly feisty, you can throw in, "What tacky business practices, I will certainly never employ a business that behaves in this manner".

I missed lots of the drama. I was amazed by the part where he/she/it said that they give coupons to others when they decide they are not going to use them (i.e. when there are no more deals with those coupons...) Maybe the manufacturers could send the coupons directly to him/her/it and so the store employees wouldn't have to bother putting them up.

Still trying to figure out which charity got all the VEETS Scratchhead

The posts are disguised as "Heads Up!" Good Deal" - but are really "Look at what *I* got!"

Brother is s i c k from the treatments, is losing his hair He is just supposed to return to work from his vacation time. We'll see how that goes .My sister in law is holding up ,but I swear she's aged ten years. I think she is just emotionally exhausted.

I'm gonna go down three times a week and do whatever they need
Thanks for asking.

Oh don't ya know the 7 yr old son that uses a whole botttle of body wash every shower ,
also has back hair and uses a whole bottle of veet to keep it bay .....should be gone in no time .laugh out loud

Went to T, still at 75%. Forgot to look for Uno.
DH got some long johns, sweat jacket and a movie.
Gift card still looks very healthy at $499.00 remaining!

I am now really thinking she might GS. I found a post I'd forgotten about in which she was congratulating someone else on having a good GS and in the process of course had to share about HER profitable GS because that's the kind of person she is Smilie

I saw that in the shelf-clearing thread and nearly spit out my cereal Teehee

Bunnies....have you gotten warnings over there??? Trying to figure out if she is MA'ing mine or what. I know Laina did too and so did I, unsure about others.

There is a thread about 'greedy people' Teehee that there has been some discussion in that too and she did post a couple times Evil

Oh and watch her siggy over there....at one pt. last night she had a couple of na-na-na-boo-boo smilies in it and now it's that she "needs a :inserttrucksmileyhere:" Crazy

I will be off and on today, have a little guy I am watching for a friend! Have a good day TCC'ers!! I know I for one am going to need to go worship the Keurig soon.
What she needs is a good Bonk Maybe a tractor trailer full of us to go shop her stores ,on a 24 hr watch.

Maybe there is a selling stockpile, garage sale over there ...must go look.

Gerber 2 pk blanket sleepers have a $1 off any Gerber onesie pkg Q (coded 76, expiry 1/31/11) No I'm not expecting, but my Nephew's wife is. I was bummed that none of the hooded towels were less than $6. I looked at 5 pk onesies, reduced at $6.88 and 2 pk blanket sleepers too. I've never been around a baby. I WAS the baby, and my Brother's kids were all born when I was in VA. My Nephew was a HUGE child (3 oz short of 15 lbs at birth), so I was looking at 18 months clothes for next winter, and he/she is due in May.
Woohoo, we're having a BOY Baby

Praying that he's healthy!

Thanks Smilie Is there a certain brand that I should buy or amount I should take? Should I not take it after a certain time? On targets website they have pill and liquid forum.
Just start small and work up. Tablets start at 1mg and go up from there. I always get the sublingual cuz they work faster. I started taking 1mg and then went up to 2mg and got a better effect (for me). ZzZZz

If you do sublingual, you will be quite drowsy within 30 mins. Swallowing will take a little longer to feel effect. You can take it as late as you need to cuz the half life is about 4-5 hours (meaning it's wearing off at that point). So as long as you have about 5 hours for sleep, you should be good. But each person reacts a little different, so try it out with a full night first! :-)

Quote from Thrifteh :
I'm glad the melatonin discussion came back up. We are at our wits end with JJ. We've tried it all...sleep training, co-sleeping, etc and this kid just won't sleep. He has slept through the night less than 10 times in 16 months. I'm laying in bed listening to him scream in his crib and I'm crying right along with him. We're going to have a new little one in April and I cannot deal with 2 kids up at night, all night, every night.

I guess I should talk to the doc, but he kinda laughed and said we're lucky with the sleep he's getting (apparently after observing how busy JJ was in the exam room). I can't remember who give this to their kids. Just curious how young and what dosage would be appropriate for JJ.

I. Am. Just. So. Friggin. Exhausted.

And fark you to all of you whose kids slept through the night from 12-13 weeks. :middlefingersmiley:
My girls are HORRIBLE sleepers. They are 3 and 5 and still rarely sleep through the night... I started giving them Melatonin when the youngest was 2. I don't give it very often but when they need a little help falling asleep. It's more for helping them go to sleep than it is keeping them asleep (but it does help some).

I give them 1mg sublingual. I crush it up and put it under their tongues. ZzZZz in 20-30 mins!! Source Naturals Orange flavored Sublingual does not contain any milk products. Does contain soy, if that's an issue.

Calms Forte for Kids does have a lactose base. We can't use it either... HTH!!

Okay all you disney world fans (excluding Meesh who is currently there ignoring me), give me the low down on where to start looking for going with my fam. There would be 5 adults and 4 kids. (kids aged 7, 4, 3, and 1)

Any advice or suggestions at all would be fantastic. I know NOTHING about a vacay of this magnitude.
i stayed at the sports themed value resort in march 2005 w/ another couple who were college friends and another couple who i think stayed somewhere else. we stayed at the sports themed one even though i think the music themed one was higher rated b/c we were there primarily for baseball spring training and some disney on the side.

things probably have changed but i remember frig's cost $10/day to rent but the other couple happened to have one in the room already so we ended up not paying.

they also had these plastic mugs that you bought and then you could get unlimited soda refills. now that i'm in the diet support group, i wouldn't do unlimited soda anymore, but you could probably do like my SIL does on cruises and her kid gets the unlimited soda cup or wristband and gets soda for her.

it is a value resort but it was adequate for our needs. like somebody else said, we didn't spend much time there so no need to stay at the luxury hotels unless that is what you want. i remember not liking my pillow but i didn't even spend enough time there to get another one from housekeeping. and the light outside the door to our unit was out. those were my only 2 complaints at all, but again, i'm sure if i called down to the front desk, both those things could have been fixed quick.

i had a friend who bought a timeshare wk off ebay and stayed at the boardwalk resort w/ her 3 young kids, i think 5,3 and 1 at the time and she said it was great. it's w/in walking distance of epcot, so they could go back to the room and the kids could take a nap and then they could go out again.

ends up a mother and daughter both owned timeshares at the boardwalk resort. if you are interested i could ask her for the contact info.

if you want to go more budget than the value resorts, you can stay on international drive or in kissimmee but then you would have to drive to disney and pay for parking. we pretty much go to fl every yr for spring training, so i've stayed at both recently. i think we stayed at int'l drive b/c one yr b/c we also went to universal studios islands of adventure and it was nearby. int'l drive is very cheap and feels very low budget compared to the disney resorts, but again, all you need is a bed and shower. i stayed at int'l drive in 1999? and we had a room for 4 for $29 at the hojo inn LMAO (should have stayed at the ramada). i think it was like $59 or $69 per room like 10 yrs later.

i think we stayed in kissimmee when we went w/ the same couple above and kissimmee is very quiet and that disney planned town is there (that just had it's first murder ever). we drove and walked around there. nice shops, restaurants, very beautiful. you have to drive over and pay for parking at disney and it's a little further but not unreasonable.

if you stay at int'l drive or kissimmee, i would recommend finding a motel that includes breakfast. it's such a timesaver.

w/ young kids and if you are staying for more than a couple days, i would recommend staying at one of the disney resorts, it's just so much more convenient and you are totally immersed in the disney experience.

if i think of more, i'll post. i saw somebody reporting 90% off at a store in my state so i gotta go.

on a sad note, another sd'er just started posting this past wk that he/she's been hitting my expanded target. more competition for deals, argh!!!

I would LOVE this recipe if you dont mind. It sounds yummy and healthy!
48 oz. jar of Northern Beans
24 oz. jar of medium salsa
8 - 10 oz. shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
1 lb. cook, cubed chicken (3 medium breasts is about a pound)
1 teaspoon Cumin

Dump it all in a crock pot and cook all on low or 3 hours on high.

Yes, you put the cheese at the start. The northern beans are in a glass jar and are precooked. They are usually located in the same area as the chili beans and dry beans.

I used boneless skinless breasts and cubed them before I cooked them. While they were cooking (a little oil in the pan, salt and pepper), I got out the crock pot and dumped the other stuff in. By then the little cubes were darn near done.

I was pretty sure I wasn't going to like this. I'm not crazy about beans and I don't like chicken. I find that I keep going out to the kitchen and tasting it.laugh out loud My DD and DH smash crackers in their chili so I thought I would try serving this with tortilla chips instead of saltines.
