48 oz. jar of Northern Beans
24 oz. jar of medium salsa
8 - 10 oz. shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
1 lb. cook, cubed chicken
1 teaspoon Cumin

Dump it all in a crock pot and cook all on low or 3 hours on high.

Yes, you put the cheese at the start. The northern beans are in a glass jar and are precooked. They are usually located in the same area as the chili beans and dry beans.

I used boneless skinless breasts and cubed them before I cooked them. While they were cooking (a little oil in the pan, salt and pepper), I got out the crock pot and dumped the other stuff in. By then the little cubes were darn near done.

I was pretty sure I wasn't going to like this. I'm not crazy about beans and I don't like chicken. I find that I keep going out to the kitchen and tasting it.laugh out loud My DD and DH smash crackers in their chili so I thought I would try serving this with tortilla chips instead of saltines.

So....do you like it??? bounce
It sounds delicious AND easy (my top priority). laugh out loud
Also, seems pretty WW points friendly! Trying my best to stay on the weight loss track this time.

Well, I don't know. I haven't sat down and eaten a whole bowl. Technically, it isn't done yet and it's for supper tonight. But there is that part where I keep tasting it.... I don't usually keep tasting stuff I don't like.

Hey, you know that other website -- afc? They have better smiles. I don't like that. I want them. HERE.

I got warnings....*snip*
It is so silly over there....it is like whatever is MA'd gets automatically warned or removed just because they don't have the manpower to deal with it. I did plead my case to them in letting the good discussion go on and after that one of the mods came into that shelf-clearing discussion and basically told people that if they didn't want to participate to walk away from it. Good. Coincidence, I don't know but good and it is still going on, just have to be so nice over there I have to read and reread to make sure I'm 'nice' enough for them laugh out loud

and I don't normally keep tasting things I don't like either....Roll

another similar recipe that's WW friendly:

3-4 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
1 jar medium salsa
1 can corn (drained)
1 can blackbeans (drained)

dump all into the crockpot and cook until chicken is shred-able. FABULOUS on a bed of brown rice, in whole wheat tortilla, etc. Add shredded monterey jack cheese and light sour cream. YUMMO! drool

Sadwalk

there is now somebody in deals that drives at least 20-30 min from across the state line and has been hitting my closest targets for xmas clearance. they just hit the target that is less than 2 miles from my house.

i will now have to be at the doors at 8am every day during toy clearance, sigh! i am not an early riser Weeping. in fact, i normally go to target around 4pm when my local high school students are working. in the morning the middle-aged by-the-book, reading rainbow, non-k1'ing people work. during clearance season i go b4 lunch b/c my markdown team is still working at that time and if you go earlier you don't know if it's 75% off or not.

well, on the other hand, i know xmas is still 75% off and there is basically nothing left (except hidden deals and hopefully they don't know about those yet but that is going to be a problem if they stick around). FrownFrownFrown

Well, there is only one solution to this. We find out where they hang out and go start posting in that forum. laugh out loud Edit: Oh wait, never mind, I see you said they are here.

I am not happy. Not happy, I say. Talking about chicken reminded me that the Golden Plump coupon has expire so while I was thinking about it I went looking for a new one. Those bastards made it a bricks this time instead of a pdf. Geesh, it was bad enough that the last one was breasts only, but since I buy that more often than bone in, I was dealing with, but now, I just don't know...

hug I feel for ya. I have been having to be at the store at opening time for so long now that it is definitely habit.

I was hoping for a new good GNP coupon too....maybe a new one will still come out at some point. I think last year there were some bricks too for GNP.

In case any of you miss it and I forget later --- now SC (this is her new name Smilie....short for shelf-clearerSmilie) is saying through her siggy covertly that her DH is our DM for Wags.

Which I don't believe for several reasons....I just think this is entirely funny how it has gotten so far under her skin that she's gone to the lengths she's gone to Teehee

ETA: You can PM me if you want to know exactly what it said Smilie
