Morning, everyone! Wave Home with a sick kiddo. Which means I won't be making it out to HT this morning, but that's ok. I was still planning on doing my runs until he threw up again this morning. Poor little guy. Plus he has this really thick, yucky-sounding cough. Will have to bring him in if he doesn't start feeling better.

Funny, I used to think of career garage salers as those people who had a stand at their house every weekend that nobody stopped at...
And we do have that sort around here. I always figure I am good with my once/month gs as long as those other guys aren't shut down. I have no idea what the town ordinance is about this, but it must not be strict.

I always miss HT SDs, TY for the heads up...off to find the thread....

oh and my stockpile is like that sometimes too. I got all those General Changs Chicken dinners - that I LOVE - but could NOT find a deal on rice anywhere, still haven't yet. I have a billion cans of tuna but no tuna helper or Mayo, although I am good on the pasta and sauce right now.Wink

Want my user name and passy? Evil
Looks like some good deals this week, so I'm kinda excited. And Finish dishwasher detergent will be free, if you got the 2.25/1 coupon, as its on BOGO.

For the rice, have you tried the deal at RA? Not sure if you're particular about your rice or not, but supposedly there's a bag of white rice for 1.xx and then it produces a $1 Up. Also brown rice for a little more (but still under $2) and produces a $1 Up.

Off to fire up the Keurig and clean up throwup...

G'Mornin' nut case meanies!wave Since I have to go so far, I like to go shopping on the days my hubby will be out of town. (He is usually gone a couple nights each month). He won't be home tonight and I don't think I'm going. How sad is that. I kind of want to, but I think it's mostly cuz I think I should want to. My coupons from this week aren't done. I don't know of any really good deals at Target or anywhere else. Poop. Although.... I do want some boot slippers..
Quote from thismom4deals :
Any warnings yet.....
ETA: nevermind, I just got mine Big Grin Final warning at that laugh out loud
No warnings for me yet.

The first girl and the dude at the end are a blot on the name of couponers everywhere. The first girl gets her stuff for no other reason than to accumulate it.
A little something from... elsewhere [afullcup.com]: "Oh boy here we go again. Wonder how long before this thread goes over to Controversey corner with the other one.

Just a reminder to be kind and remember one of the people on the show is on the boards here and that ALL of them are human beings and have feelings."

And Nathans garage -- gotta admit, that's a nice looking stockpile. But, vehicles are expensive. I think I would rather be protecting my van than some shampoo and noodles. It makes me cranky if I have to let my van sit out. Teehee

Ok....who signed up over there under my referral link and with the name of a friendly stockpiler from my state Whistling
I saw that. Wouldn't you think that anyone from this state would be suspect for a while?

Retired nurse is at least sane, but walking 7 miles everyday picking up coupons? Seems to take all day, every day..
If I remember correctly, she said her walk takes her about 2 hours.
Quote from lachie :
I was reading SC posts-and she says her father has won 7 times in the Powerball lottery, never the big win, the most being 10000. The entire family seems to have talents...
Yes, did you read [afullcup.com]where they raise their own beef too? And, not only that but "I am making that my challenge for 2011..to learn how to coupon @ cvs!! "
Quote from HDDVDTV :
Thanks again for the recipe. Turned out great. Just DH and I and plenty for leftovers.
Your welcome. For those of you with little ones, if you try the recipe, you might want to use mild salsa. I thought this was pretty good and it wasn't too hot for me, but I think it might be for little people. HD can give ya her opinion on it.
Quote from flugette :
That's why I cannot wait 'til hubby's promotion/raise comes through, because then I can slow the train down to the point where I can get off if I want to. I do not intend to be a career garage saler.
Then it will definitely be more fun for you.

Why the heck does shipping have to be so expensive. My daughter held up the last can the other day and asked DH if he wanted or if she could have it. Those two love that nasty canned ravioli.

So, bunnies and I are the only ones that got warnings after that last thread.....I barely even said anything the last two pages of that thread when everything got heated....which means you know the SC has to be doing some major MA'ing Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Whatever, I found out that AFC is not nearly as smart as SD when it comes to truly 'banning' members from their site Wink

Nothing in particular. Me and my sister are thinking about flying out there for a few days in a week or so. Need to get to a warmer climate and change the scenery a little. Evil

I think we are going to fly into los angeles. Any good hotel recommendations?
Ohhh - a little R&R. Cool I don't think there are any so cal folks on TCC, but there may be someone I don't know about. I grew up in LA but haven't lived there for many years, so I don't know if I could be super helpful other than general advice. LA is a big city though, so it's kinda like saying "I'm flying into Texas... any good hotels?" It really depends on what areas you want to stay in and how much cashola you're looking to spend.

If you're not going with kids, I'd stay away from the "kid" attractions (d-land, universal, etc, etc). The beach cities are really nice (Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, etc), but it will be cooler there than in the inland areas (maybe in the 60s during the day, but check the weather reports). Malibu has beautiful scenery for a drive, Santa Monica has great shopping, Venice Beach is funky and has lots of funky places to discover, the OC beach cities (MB, NB, LB, etc) are very pretty and upscale.

If you have an idea of some specific types of things you'd like to do, I can try to make suggestions. Smilie
