Okay, someone explain why people feel the need to constantly get on their damned high horses about what other people buy? Just because YOU don't like something, that doesn't mean it's crap and you should make others feel bad for buying it.

It's just like the BS about when I asked about inexpensive dog food over the summer. You would have thought I just told the whole thread I kicked puppies or something.

Of course being the gals we are we want details.

Why would anyone care what anyone else was buying? I guess it shows how snobby some people are.

The only exception would be a Keurig of course nod

I got one at KMart last year. You might try there since they mark down more slowly and stuff tends to sit. I haven't looked this year, so I can promise they have them. It isn't Mr. Christmas specifically (haven't even seen that). I think it's GE.

The one I have has six sets of two outlets. Each of the six (A-G) does something different to get the dancing lights effect. You can use any or all. And it plays music. It was $125ish too. Got it 90% off.
I .
Oh I am so jealous of the 90% would LOVE it! and TY! I will check the 2 Ks around here...I want one so bad, I'd even pay 50%off

I love my B60 special edition....3 brew sizes, LCD display (I think a person could live w/o it but digital really helps me), nice big water reservoir, and it looks pretty Smilie I can only speak for mine though. I think it's l2b's whose is similar but maybe less fancy-schmancy but still with similar features just costs less??? Hmmmm.
I have the Elite and it is good for me, I don't need another vampire appliance sucking energy for the un-needed LCD and millionth clock in the kitchen, Mine has 2 cup sizes and a big water tank. The only problem I have found is that I don't think it has auto shut off.

I appreciate the help.... but I don't want one. One cup of coffee at time just wouldn't cut it here and it would be way to expensive. Geez, the giant cans of coffee are bad enough. We brew one pot that hubby pours in his thermos and travel mug and takes to work. Pot is empty. I brew another pot of coffee for me. If I don't drink it all, I drink most of it. I usually brew a pot of tea in the afternoon. Then at night we brew at least one pot of coffee (decaf) or hot tea for the two of us, usually after supper. I also brew tea for iced tea.
Now, do you see why I love my Bunn? Cheers
Neither one of us like flavored coffees. If I make hot chocolate of any kind -- it's with milk. Even if it's an instant kind that you can use water. Milk just tastes better.
I'm jealous too. I just spent $11 (no coupons) on two 12 double roll packages a few days ago. Toilet paper just isn't a deal I can get -- I don't have a CVS and I hear that's where the free butt wipe lives. I would love to have a wall-o-wipe.

The only thing I think when I see that though, is wow, that is a fantasy land for mice.
No, not good for you, but we can still can you fancy if you fancy.
I, too, like my Hot Cocoa with milk, and totally agree with the mice but I still have at least 4 cases of TP, yet we have 7 asses here.

Alright, I need a SD on moving cross country. Where can I find cheap moving boxes without having my DH and FIL bring home boxes from the restaurants? I mean I like free but I am also OCD about the boxes needing to 'match' and I would like to clearly label them with an inventory of the contents on it as well. When we moved here I found an accidentally deal on ebay, not knowing what I was actually getting. It was kinda funny when the UPS guy showed up with my delivery of 100 FEDEX express boxes.

hi guys. Wave

been knocked out all day with pain meds. will probably be back in that land in a while. what a waste of days.

but on the plus side, it means i am not spending any money.

(or sadly, making any. Sadwalk )

why do we all love slowtech so much? Coverlaugh i mean l love her, I do, and she's generally a wise one. but this latest round of love... what am i missing? i want to love her more, too. Big Grin

caught the tlc show a few days ago. so fake. every one of them saying how this was the biggest run they'd ever done. and all the store employees standing around watching with smiles. and willingly redoing the whole order, broken up into pieces. yeah, right.

plus, who shops like that 9 carts full at once? that is smash and grabbing at its worst. can't believe these couponers actually thought it was okay to promote that on TV. only once did i hear one person say he special ordered (the cereal). but everything else, they were just emptying bins into carts. crass. and tasteless. like you've never seen toothbrushes or deo before. ugh.

two more notes and then i'll feel like i've kept pace with you chatterboxes: last year i stocked up on tp. lasted me better part of the year. and now i have enough probably to get us through half of this year. i'll get more as i go along. so 4 years, no. but 9 months or a year's supply? yes.
gt, you can get good deals on it at T when they go on sale/clearance, plus combine with overage.

second thing: keurig. don't have one. don't want one. seems like a waste with so many cups and cost of those, plus the trash it generates. but i do appreciate the convenience. friend of mine has a tassimmo, i think. and she just whips a cup every time she wants one, then tosses the mug in the dishwasher as soon as she's done.
i used to start my day with coffee and so got this wonderful Krups coffeemaker from Crate and Barrel several years ago. has a clock timer etc. set it at night, it starts up in the morning and your coffee is brewing for you all warm and fragrant, filling the house with its promising aroma, when you stumble out of bed and hobble all cold into the bathroom. heart it. of course, i've almost given up drinking coffee cos of migraine sensitivity to caffiene. Sadwalk
now i just have a kettle of water on the stove. and use it for decaf green tea. like that.
and french press decaf coffee. like that, too.

happy coffee drinking, however you drink it! and here's hoping you all have a wonderful friday!

depends what size you need. if you can do with a bunch of the small to medium sized ones, the usps flat rate ones are free. they'll even deliver to you. or you can pick up a few at a time at a post office. they're good for dishes, books and such. heavy stuff that you want smaller boxes for.

do you have a staples near you? or OD or OM? you could recycle ink cartridges, then use those recycling rewards to "buy" boxes.

finally, if you look on craigslist or post on freecycle, lots of people have corporate moves and then give away the entire set of matching boxes. just relabel with room/contents/box number and you're set.

Ha! I had to post to this one - seriously, I think people should buy whatever they want to buy, but I worked for a vet (up until today Whee ) and am a Vet Tech student, so canine nutrition is one of my heart ...I'm a corn snob...feed your dog whatever, but make sure corn isn't in the top 5 ingredients! laugh out loud

Back to the subject at hand...sorry to break in with this nutrition news flash...hehe

Oh, trust me, I know that. But when you have $10 in your pocket to feed yourself, your parents, a dog and a cat for at least the next 2 months...well, big sacrifices have to be made. I didn't like the implication from those other people that cheaper food meant that I didn't care about my animals, it was incredibly rude on their part.

This is kinda funny aI heard a commercial today for targets BIG savings event ,that cited the average # of rolls an average family uses a year, a subtle message to the extreme couponers ??? I think that # according to them was 140 laugh out loud

Oh, it was just someone is a grocery thread that is apparently one of the 'untouchables' on SD, meaning she can do no wrong. She just likes to threadcrap and make these really casual comments on what other people buy- or why she doesn't buy/eat/use that stuff herself.

We are taking care of Miss SC over there and having fun in the process Big Grin

I forget are you on the east or west side of town? I think she shops *mostly* over here and on the east side if applicable though I know she does not hesitate to go over to the west side if necessary. Might be why you haven't seen her...for some reason I was thinking you were on the west side? Sightings usually occur at this Walgreens and Walmart and the one Hy-Vee we have in town. Collins HV is closer for me anyway and I am that direction more so that is typically the one I go to first but I frequent Marion too for various things.
A little late for this feedback - I think it would be safe to say I'm a chit chat junkie already! He he hee. laugh out loud East side; just a litlle north of Mediacom. Sadly, only 2 min from Target (well not for me, but the MR thinks I spend too much time there. Hmmmm... Can one spend too much time at Target?)
