In the spirit of my word of the year "SIMPLIFY" I returned a dress this morning to T that still had the tags on it 2 months later with no sign of wearing it...evah! Coverlaugh While there, I found 9 packages of Keebler cookies, a Burts Bees chapstick, and a Barbie cosmetic set all INF for Christmas so I told my trusty Jedi they last rang up at .29 so he could just type it in for all. I gave my friend 4 of the cookies, and I'm taking the rest to my daughter's kindergarden class this afternoon. Between the packs of Keebler and Goldfish, they'll be set for a while for snacktime woot

Oh yeah... My toddler is feeling a bit better today. Pale as a ghost, but the fever seems to be keeping itself at bay. I've been feeling a bit blah, but not too bad.

I soooooo need to go shopping.

I know this is Tuesday and Keurig worship service isn't until Thursday, but I'd like a moment of silence in honor of Nyquil.

Thank you, nyquil, for a good nights sleep last night.

I feel better today than yesterday. Still doing the Zicam, still gargling with apple cider vinegar (per ank's instructions, but I kinda feel like I should be coloring easter eggs with this instead of gargling with it) and swishing down ice tea to keep me hydrated.

Yeah, I don't find good meat deals either.. Every couple of months, I will find a markdown on something.. Last time I found ground beef for under .99/pound, I got 10 pounds worth. I do get packs of steaks, and small roasts at ST every now and then for a about 1.50- 2.00 a pack.. and I stock up when chicken hits 1.99/pound.. I don't really buy pork cause we aren't big pork eaters.. And don't buy hotdogs either..

AS far as the Torani goes.. I wish they carried them in small bottles too, and sold them at target, or publix. I was very hesistant to buy the 3 pack from amazon, especially with the caramel cause it isn't usually my favorite flavor.. but, the 3 pack was such a better deal that the SD in me wouldn't let me buy 1 bottle.

Yeah, I don't know why I never thought about it before last night to use it to make tea.. I use it for my coffee each morning, and we make hot chocolate.. I usually make tea by the gallon and use the stove. But, I make sweet tea for the family and try to remember to leave me a glass full out before I add the sugar.. Last night I was wanting some tea so bad but didn't have any unsweet.. Then, it hit me I should just make one glass for me. I added 2 small tea bags and brewed a travel size mug with the keurig.. can't believe I never did that before Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

For the markdowns, I think I have just shopped often enough that it was easy to figure out afterwhile. Also, I learned to look for what's not going to be the big sell that week or the week befor. For instance, when turkey and hams were going like hotcakes because of thanksgiving and christmas, I could get cheaper beef and chicken. And now that the holidays are over, the frozen turkeys and hams will begin to be marked down. Hopefully I get to 'em when they do!

Hot dogs are ridiculously expensive here too.

Is anyone wagging this week? I'm trying to slog through the thread. I need to pay better attention.
I am sure what you cook tastes great! As far as the markdowns go.. the grocery stores here mark down early in the morning, and I never shop early, so that may be part of the problem.. Target seems to mark down in the evening..

Hope you feel better hug what about some hot tea with honey and lemon for your throat? When we grew up, we didn't use vinegar, but gargled with warm salt water and it worked wonders Smilie

And you can feel free to worship your Nyquil.. cause truth is, we worship our Keurig and many days that aren't Thursday Wink
